Miranda went 5-for-5 with three doubles, four runs and three RBI during Thursday's 12-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Despite Thursday's game being called after seven innings due to inclement weather, Miranda had his first career five-hit game, besting his previous total of three hits. The outing also extended Miranda's hit streak to eight games, a stretch where he's 15-for-30 with 10 RBI. Although Miranda had been a regular piece of the Twins' lineup anyway, he'll own an even more secure role while Royce Lewis (groin) is shelved. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:11 pm

  • Struggles in Independence Day loss
Stroman (7-4) took the loss against Cincinnati on Thursday, pitching five innings and allowing five runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six batters over five innings.

Advice: Stroman struggled to keep the ball in the park Thursday -- of the five hits he allowed, three were long balls, and all five of the runs he yielded came on home runs. The right-hander hadn't been prone to the long ball coming in, as he hadn't given up a homer in three of his prior four stats. Stroman hasn't been pitching particularly well of late, though, as he has a 6.43 ERA across 21 frames covering his past four outings. The five earned runs he allowed against the Reds tied a season-high mark. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:06 pm
  • Witt Jr. a triple shy of the cycle against Rays
Bobby Witt Jr. went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and two RBI against the Rays on Thursday.

Advice: The home run was Witt Jr.'s 14th of the season. He took Pete Fairbanks deep with a solo shot in the ninth inning. Witt Jr. remains one of the best hitters in fantasy this season. He’s hitting .319 with a .925 OPS and 58 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:53 pm

  • Albies has two-hit game in loss to Giants Thursday
Ozzie Albies went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored against the Giants on Thursday.

Advice: Albies doubled in the first inning off Logan Webb and Jared Kelenic ended up scoring on a throwing error by Mike Yastrzemski. Albies also came around on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Austin Riley. Albies has 24 doubles on the season. He’s hitting .257 with a .712 OPS on the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:10 pm

  • Jose Miranda goes 5-for-5 to lead Twins
Jose Miranda finished 5-for-5 with three doubles and four runs scored Thursday as the Twins topped the Tigers 12-3 in a rain-shortened game.

Advice: The contest was delayed in the bottom of the seventh and eventually called. Miranda has hit in eight straight games, raising his average to .312. Over the last 30 days, he’s hitting a robust .379/.434/.586 with as many extra-base hits as strikeouts (13). It seems like last year’s struggles really were all about his troublesome right shoulder, and he’s back looking very much like a long-term regular now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:31 pm

  • Marcus Stroman allows three homers in loss to Reds
Marcus Stroman gave up five runs while hurling five innings in a loss to the Reds on Thursday.

Advice: The long ball was a problem for Stroman, as he gave up three homers accounting for all five runs. He walked two and struck out six in a start that would have looked fine without the roundtrippers. That’s not how this works, unfortunately. Stroman will take a 3.58 ERA into his final start of the first half against the Rays on Wednesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:10 pm
  • Swipes two bags in win
Thomas went 1-for-3 with a walk and two stolen bases in Thursday's win against the Mets.

Advice: Thomas had his fifth game of the season with multiple stolen bases, which is the second most in MLB behind Elly De La Cruz (eight). Thomas already has 19 steals in 58 games this season, one away from the career high he set last season in 156 contests. The 28-year-old continues to be a solid producer since returning from a knee injury in late May, slashing .268/.327/.504 with six homers and 25 RBI over his last 36 games. • Sitting Thursday
Langeliers isn't in the Athletics' lineup for Thursday's game against the Angels.

Advice: Langeliers will get a breather after he went 1-for-4 and stole a base during Wednesday's win. Kyle McCann will start behind the plate instead and bat fifth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:07 am

  • Swipes fourth base in win
Langeliers went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run in a win over the Angels on Wednesday.

Advice: The power-hitting backstop showed off the wheels following his sixth-inning single, working his way into scoring position with a steal of second and subsequently racing home on Brett Harris' knock for the Athletics' fifth and final run of the night. Langeliers, who now has a career-high four stolen bases, has hit safely in three of his last four games, and while he maintains a forgettable .204 average and .256 OBP, he's sporting a solid .427 slugging percentage thanks to having laced 25 of his 52 hits for extra bases.
