• Held out again Friday
Candelario (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Friday's game in St. Louis.

Advice: It's the third straight day on the bench for Candelario, who has been dealing with hamstring tendinitis since last week. There are no indications to this point that he might require a trip to the 10-day injured list, so consider him day-to-day for now. Noelvi Marte and Spencer Steer are again handling the infield corners for the Reds on Friday. Rotowire.com 50 minutes ago

  • Jeimer Candelario (knee) held out again on Friday
Jeimer Candelario (knee) was held out of the Reds’ starting lineup once again for Friday night’s tilt against the Cardinals.

There haven’t been any indications yet that the injury will require a trip to the injured list, but if it lingers through the weekend the Reds may be forced to make a move. Noelvi Marte will start at the hot corner on Friday night while Spencer Steer mans first base for the Reds. Rotoworld 53 minutes ago

  • Bryce Harper goes on IL with mild hamstring strain
Phillies placed 1B Bryce Harper on the 10-day IL with a left hamstring strain.

Advice: The Phillies are calling it a low-grade strain, so Harper could be ready to go as soon as his 10 days are up. Kody Clemens will fill in at first base against righties. The Phillies will probably shift Alec Bohm to first and play Edmundo Sosa at third versus lefties. Rotoworld Today, 11:54 am

  • Headed to IL with low-grade strain
The Phillies placed Harper on the 10-day injured list Friday with a left hamstring strain.

Advice: Harper suffered the injury on the final play of Thursday's loss to the Marlins while running out a grounder. The good news is it's considered a low-grade strain and Harper might return as soon as July 9, per Matt Gelb of The Athletic. The Phillies could also play things cautiously and hold him out until after the All-Star break. While Harper is sidelined, Philadelphia will likely shift Alec Bohm over to first base and put Edmundo Sosa at third. Rotowire.com Today, 11:26 am

  • Bryce Harper gets good news, still IL bound
Bryce Harper was diagnosed with a low-grade hamstring strain but will go on the 10-day injured list, according to The Athletic’s Matt Gelb.

Advice: The Phillies think there’s a chance Harper could be ready when his 10 days are up. They’ll likely activate Kody Clemens in Harper’s place and use him at first base against righties until Harper returns. Rotoworld Today, 11:23 am

  • Homer, two hits in win
Rengifo went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Thursday's win over the Tigers.

It marked his eighth multi-hit performance this month and the third in his four contests, raising his season average to .312. The home run was Rengifo's fifth of the campaign. • Bryce Harper suffers left hamstring injury in loss
Bryce Harper suffered a left hamstring injury during Thursday’s loss to the Marlins.

Advice: Not good. Harper suffered the apparent injury during the ninth inning of Thursday’s loss while attempting to beat out an infield grounder on the final play of the contest. The 31-year-old slugger, who crushed an RBI double off the base of the center-field wall in the opening frame against Marlins southpaw Trevor Rogers for his 1,000th career hit, will undergo additional testing to determine the severity of the injury. There should be an update on his status prior to Friday’s showdown. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:30 pm

  • Garcia blasts 15th home run in loss Thursday
Adolis Garcia went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Orioles on Thursday.

Advice: Garcia’s home run was his 15th of the season. It hasn’t been Garcia’s best season, but he’s showing what it means to possess a solid floor. He’s only hitting .219, but he’s still on pace for around 30 home runs with 15 stolen bases and run totals in the mid-80s. Even though Garcia isn’t repeating the monster season he produced last year, he’s still carving out a pretty nice year for himself.
