    • Adley Rutschman crushes two homers in O’s loss
Adley Rutschman clobbered a pair of solo homers on Monday in the Orioles’ loss to the Blue Jays.

Advice: Rutschman took Blue Jays starter José Berríos deep in the fourth and sixth innings to record the first multi-homer performance of his young career. The 26-year-old franchise cornerstone, who has gone deep in back-to-back contests, is batting .309/.343/.491 with 23 runs scored, eight homers, 25 RBI and one steal through 175 plate appearances this season. • Two-homer day
Rutschman went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs Monday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Rutschman hit both blasts off Blue Jays starter Jose Berrios, giving him eight on the season and three over the last two games. The third-year star is now slashing .309/.343/.491 with 25 RBI and 23 runs to go along with the eight home runs. Rotowire.com Monday, 6:53 pm

    • Goes yard
Rutschman went 1-for-4 with a solo homer during Sunday's 9-2 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Rutschman notched his sixth long ball of the campaign, tagging Zac Gallen for a solo home run in the sixth inning. After seeing his batting average jump from .254 to .277 last season, Rutschman has taken another step forward at the plate in 2024, slashing .304/.339/.453 with 23 RBI and 21 runs scored across 38 games. • Adley Rutschman homers in loss to Arizona
Adley Rutschman went 1-for-4 with a home run in a loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Rutschman took a Zac Gallen offering and hit it 363 feet at 105.5 mph for his sixth home run of the season. The 26-year-old continues to be a solid performer at the top of the Orioles’ lineup and one of the best catchers in fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:03 pm

    • Resting against lefty
Melendez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

Advice: The Royals will stock up some extra right-handed bats to counter Angels southpaw Patrick Sandoval, so the lefty-hitting Melendez will head to the bench for the series finale. Dairon Blanco will replace Melendez in left field. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:33 am

    • Racks up three hits in win
Melendez went 3-for-4 with a triple in Friday's 2-1 win over the Angels.

Advice: Melendez hasn't been able to string good performances together, but he's 7-for-24 (.292) over eight games in May. The outfielder was able to get aboard in the ninth inning before Garrett Hampson entered as a pinch runner and scored on Adam Frazier's home run. Melendez is up to a .202/.260/.395 slash line with four homers, 12 RBI, 10 runs scored, six doubles, two triples and two stolen bases through 123 plate appearances. He continues to be a drag in batting average, but he's got intriguing power upside in formats where he's still catcher-eligible after playing 10 games behind the plate in 2023. • Idle versus lefty
Melendez isn't in the Royals' lineup Thursday against the Angels.

Advice: Lefty Reid Detmers will start on the mound for Los Angeles, sending the left-handed bat of Melendez into Kansas City's dugout for the beginning of the game. Dairon Blanco will instead serve as the Royals' left fielder and bat eighth. Rotowire.com Thursday, 3:18 pm

    • Registers first steal
Rutschman went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 3-0 loss to the Nationals.

Advice: Rutschman had one of the Orioles' three hits in Tuesday's loss. He's gone 8-for-25 (.320) with four extra-base hits and four RBI over six games in May. Rutschman's steal was his first of the year -- speed is the one tool that doesn't show up much in his game. He's still putting together another excellent season with a .322/.359/.469 slash line, five home runs, 22 RBI and 20 runs scored over 34 contests, even with a walk rate at a career-low 5.3 percent. • Rutschman extends hit streak to five in loss
Adley Rutschman went 1-for-4 in the Orioles’ 3-0 loss to the Nationals on Tuesday.

Advice: Offense was hard to come by for the Orioles in this one, as Rutschman’s hit was one of just three the Birds recorded on the evening. The real story of the night was the Nationals pitching, as starter Trevor Williams struck out eight batters over five innings while the bullpen notched four more K’s. Rutschman has now hit safely in five straight games and is 8-for-25 at the plate in the month of May. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:20 pm
