    • Charged with blown save, loss
Robertson (2-1) had a blown save and was the losing pitcher in Saturday's 8-3 loss to the Rockies. The reliever failed to record an out and was charged with four runs on two hits, a walk and a hit batter.

Advice: The usually reliable Robertson entered with the Rangers holding a 3-2 lead, a runner on second base and two outs. As rain began to fall, he yielded a run-scoring single to the first batter he faced. After a wild pitch, another RBI single, a hit batsman and a walk, Robertson was removed with the bases loaded. The right-hander, who entered the game with a 0.87 ERA, threw just 11 strikes among 22 pitches. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:39 am
    • Perfect for 12th save
Suarez earned the save Wednesday against the Cubs, striking out one across a perfect inning.

Advice: Suarez advanced to 12-for-12 on save chances this season, putting him in lockstep with Kyle Finnegan for the most saves in baseball. The former has allowed just seven hits on the season, and the lone run charged against him came via a home run back on March 28. Suarez hasn't allowed a hit in 5.2 innings. • Robert Suarez notches 12th save on Wednesday
Robert Suarez fired a perfect ninth inning on Wednesday against the Cubs to notch his 12th save of the season.

Advice: Suarez got the call to guard a three-run lead in the final frame and needed just 11 pitches (seven strikes) to spin a flawless frame. The hard-throwing 33-year-old stopper has converted all 12 of his save opportunities this season to accompany a microscopic 0.55 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 15/4 K/BB ratio across 16 1/3 innings (15 appearances). Simply put, he’s emerged as one of the best closers in baseball, which has made him one of the best values in offseason fantasy drafts. Rotoworld Wednesday, 2:17 pm

    • Robert Suarez notches five-out save against Cubs
Robert Suarez recorded a five-out save on Monday against the Cubs.

Advice: Suarez was tasked with protecting a three-run lead upon entering the eighth inning of Monday’s series opener at Wrigley Field for his first appearance since last Wednesday. The hard-throwing 33-year-old righty struck out Yan Gomes and retired Nico Hoerner to extinguish a bases-loaded threat in the eighth before coming back out to toss a perfect final frame. He’s converted all 11 of his save opportunities this season to go along with a microscopic 0.59 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 14/4 K/BB ratio across 15 1/3 innings (14 appearances). • Converts five-out save
Suarez struck out three batters over 1.2 perfect frames and earned a save over the Cubs on Monday.

Advice: Suarez was called into a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the eighth inning and quickly steamrolled the Cubs in order to finish off the game. He matched his longest outing of the year while firing 14 of 20 pitches for strikes. Suarez has been nearly perfect this season; he's 1-0 with a 0.59 ERA while converting each of his 11 save chances. The 33-year-old is currently riding a 13-inning scoreless streak. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:27 pm

    • David Robertson gets first save in 10th inning
David Robertson pitched a hitless 10th with a one-run lead for his first save Sunday against the Royals.

Advice: Kirby Yates wound up with the win after pitching scoreless eighth and ninth innings. It’s a good reminder that even though Robertson was bypassed in favor of Yates after José Leclerc was removed from the closing gig, he’s still intriguing in mixed leagues. He has a 1.02 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 17 2/3 innings. Rotoworld May 5, 4:57 pm
