    • Ryan Pepiot undone by HRs against Atlanta
Ryan Pepiot allowed five runs on six hits in 4 2/3 innings against the Braves on Saturday.

Advice: Pepiot allowed seven hard-hit baseballs on the day and three home runs which accounted for seven runs. The right-hander did produce a 26 percent whiff rate and 26 percent CSW which helped him strike out four. However, he also walked three in what was an uneven effort overall. His first season in Tampa has not gone as smoothly as hoped. While he has flashed upside, he also has a 4.57 ERA but he has a good chance to turn that around next week against the Pirates. • Kyle Tucker (shin) might require rehab assignment
Astros manager Joe Espada told reporters Saturday that Kyle Tucker (shin) might require a minor league rehab assignment.

Advice: Espada elaborated that Tucker might need some rehab games to get back up to speed if he doesn’t resume running at some point this weekend. The 27-year-old fantasy superstar has been out since early June recovering from a right shin contusion and has yet to resume baseball activities. There should be a clearer picture of his potential return timeline at some point in the coming days. It certainly doesn’t sound like he’s close at this juncture. Rotoworld Today, 10:45 am

    • Breather Saturday
Bailey is not in the starting lineup Saturday against the Angels.

Advice: Bailey will get a breather after he went 5-for-17 with a double, two RBI and a run scored while starting each of the team's last five contests. Curt Casali will take over behind the plate and bat ninth versus Los Angeles. Rotowire.com Today, 10:06 am
    • Day off Saturday
Marte is not in the lineup for Saturday's contest against the Padres.

Advice: Marte was in the lineup for each of the previous four tilts, but he will receive a day of rest Saturday. DJ Stewart is handling right field for the Mets in this one. Rotowire.com Today, 10:04 am

    • Collects two hits in return
Profar went 2-for-4 in Friday's loss to the Mets.

Advice: Profar missed Wednesday's contest due to left knee soreness. The issue has been ongoing for Profar, but Wednesday's absence was his first of the campaign, so it's likely that he'll continue playing through it unless the injury worsens. Profar has been among the best hitters in the league this season -- his two singles Friday pushed his batting average up to .326, second among qualified hitters in the majors behind teammate Luis Arraez. • Shane Baz strikes out eight on Friday at Triple-A
Shane Baz struck out eight and allowed one run over six innings on Friday for Triple-A Durham.

Advice: It’s time. Baz followed up last weekend’s 10-strikeout gem with another dazzling performance, allowing just four hits and one walk over six masterful frames. The 24-year-old top pitching prospect has completed his rehabilitation process from Tommy John surgery and appears poised to return to the majors at some point this month. He averaged 96.5 mph on his four-seam fastball in this one, while generating 14 swinging strikes and finishing with an astronomical 45 percent CSW. His ability to consistently generate whiffs on his fastball/slider combo will drive his fantasy appeal moving forward. Simply put, he should be rostered in all fantasy formats at this juncture. • Tarik Skubal gives up four runs in loss to Astros
Tarik Skubal struggled in Friday night’s loss to the Astros, giving up four runs on six hits over his 6 1/3 innings of work.

Advice: Skubal recorded only two strikeouts in the ballgame while allowing one base on balls. He kept the Astros’ offense completely off the board and was engaged in a scoreless pitcher’s duel heading to the sixth inning. They broke through there though, as Jose Altuve doubled, Alex Bregman smacked an RBI triple, Yordan Alvarez followed with a sacrifice fly and Mauricio Dubon tacked on a two-run homer. Skubal got 13 swings and misses on just 84 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 24 percent. Now 8-2 on the season, he’ll carry a pristine 2.20 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and a 98/16 K/BB ratio (86 innings) into Wednesday’s matchup against the Braves in Atlanta. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:09 pm

    • Fades late in loss
Skubal (8-2) took the loss Friday in Houston, allowing four runs on six hits and one walk over 6.1 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Skubal failed to produce a quality start for just the fourth time in 14 outings this season. After completing five scoreless innings, the Tigers lefty allowed all four of his runs in the sixth, capped by a Mauricio Dubon two-run homer. In 86 innings this year, Skubal sports a 2.20 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 98:16 K:BB. The 27-year-old is currently scheduled to make his next start against Atlanta on the road. • Still not doing on-field work
Tucker (lower leg) won't play in Saturday's game against Detroit and has yet to participate in on-field activities, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

Advice: There was initially optimism that Tucker would be able to return from the IL when first eligible Friday, but that doesn't seem imminent. The Astros could keep Tucker out through the weekend and activate him for a three-game road series against the White Sox that kicks off Tuesday if he shows some progress.
