    • Kyle Tucker (shin) might require rehab assignment
Astros manager Joe Espada told reporters Saturday that Kyle Tucker (shin) might require a minor league rehab assignment.

Advice: Espada elaborated that Tucker might need some rehab games to get back up to speed if he doesn’t resume running at some point this weekend. The 27-year-old fantasy superstar has been out since early June recovering from a right shin contusion and has yet to resume baseball activities. There should be a clearer picture of his potential return timeline at some point in the coming days. It certainly doesn’t sound like he’s close at this juncture. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:45 am

    • Day off Saturday
Marte is not in the lineup for Saturday's contest against the Padres.

Advice: Marte was in the lineup for each of the previous four games, but he will receive a day of rest Saturday. DJ Stewart is handling right field for the Mets in this one. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:04 am

    • Collects two hits in return
Profar went 2-for-4 in Friday's loss to the Mets.

Advice: Profar missed Wednesday's contest due to left knee soreness. The issue has been ongoing for Profar, but Wednesday's absence was his first of the campaign, so it's likely that he'll continue playing through it unless the injury worsens. Profar has been among the best hitters in the league this season -- his two singles Friday pushed his batting average up to .326, second among qualified hitters in the majors behind teammate Luis Arraez. • Still not doing on-field work
Tucker (lower leg) won't play in Saturday's game against Detroit and has yet to participate in on-field activities, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

Advice: There was initially optimism that Tucker would be able to return from the IL when first eligible Friday, but that doesn't seem imminent. The Astros could keep Tucker out through the weekend and activate him for a three-game road series against the White Sox that kicks off Tuesday if he shows some progress. Rotowire.com Friday, 2:20 pm

    • Kyle Tucker (shin) won’t be ready on Saturday
Astros’ manager Joe Espada told reporters on Friday that Kyle Tucker (shin) will not be ready to be activated from the injured list on Saturday.

Advice: While he noted that Tucker is “moving in the right direction” he also admitted that Tucker is not doing baseball activities yet. While a return at some point over the weekend hasn’t been ruled out yet, it seems unlikely if he’s not doing any baseball activities yet. A more likely scenario has the 27-year-old superstar outfielder returning to action next week. Rotoworld Friday, 2:10 pm

    • Back in San Diego lineup
Profar (knee) will start in left field and bat third in Friday's game versus the Mets.

Advice: Profar exited Tuesday and sat out Wednesday due to left patellar tendinitis, which is something he's evidently dealt with off and on for years. However, he worked out pregame Friday following Thursday's team off day and is feeling well enough to give it a go. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:19 pm

    • Jurickson Profar (knee) returns to lineup Friday
Jurickson Profar (knee) returned to the Padres’ starting lineup for Friday night’s showdown against the Mets.

Advice: Profar suffered a non-contact knee injury on a swing during Tuesday’s game and sat out on Wednesday as a precautionary measure, but he’s right back in his customary third spot in the Padres’ lineup and starting in left field on Friday night. He has been one of the biggest surprises of the first half of the season this year — slashing a robust .324/.424/.500 with 10 homers, 45 RBI and four stolen bases in 284 plate appearances. • Homers off bench Wednesday
Robert hit a solo home run in his lone at-bat in Wednesday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Robert was able to extend the contest with his game-tying blast in the ninth inning. The outfielder has four homers over eight games since he returned from a hip injury, but he's added just one other hit while posting a 3:13 BB:K in that span. He's up to six homers on the year with a .196/.250/.554 slash line through 60 plate appearances. Robert is still seeing steady rest given his lengthy injury history, though his power is a welcome addition to a fairly punchless lineup -- he already has the fourth most homers among White Sox batters this year. • Hits seventh homer
Marte went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk, two total runs and two total RBI in Monday's 10-4 victory against the Marlins.

Advice: Marte swatted a 434-foot solo shot in the fifth inning and added an RBI single in the eighth. The veteran outfielder finished with two hits for the third straight game. He's on a hot streak that has lasted more than two weeks -- Marte has seven multi-hit efforts in 10 contests since May 29 and is batting .471 (16-for-34) with nine RBI, eight runs and two stolen bases over that stretch.
