    • Gabriel Moreno exits Friday with apparent injury
Gabriel Moreno was removed from Friday’s game against the Phillies due to an apparent injury.

Advice: No word yet on exactly what happened here, but the 24-year-old backstop was replaced by Tucker Barnhart when the Diamondbacks took the field in the sixth inning. Earlier in the game, Moreno crushed the hardest hit ball of his career — a titanic 433-foot (104.6 mph EV) blast to center field. Stay tuned, as the Diamondbacks should have an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld 35 minutes ago
    • Activated from IL, optioned
The Dodgers activated Hurt (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Hurt was originally placed on the 15-day injured list April 20 with right shoulder inflammation, but he was transferred to the 60-day IL one week later. He began his rehab assignment with Oklahoma City on June 6, and over his eight minor-league appearances, he's given up five runs on seven hits and 10 walks while striking out 16 over nine frames. To make room for Hurt on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers transferred Max Muncy (oblique) to the 60-day injured list Friday. Rotowire.com 36 minutes ago

    • Carson Kelly powers Tigers past White Sox on Friday
Carson Kelly walloped a two-run homer off of Erick Fedde in the second inning, powering the Tigers to a 2-1 victory over the White Sox in the opening game of their three-game set at Comerica Park.

Advice: Justyn-Henry Malloy had set the stage with a double into the gap in left-center, then Kelly followed with a 412-foot (103.9 mph EV) blast to left field that gave the Tigers an early 2-0 lead that they would never relinquish. That was the last good swing that the Tigers would have against Erick Fedde and company in the ballgame, but proved to be just enough. Kelly finished the night 1-for-3 and is now slashing .238/.324/.373 with four homers and seven RBI on the year. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

    • Jason Foley closes out White Sox on Friday night
Jason Foley recorded the final four outs against the White Sox on Friday night, protecting a one-run advantage to earn his 13th save of the season.

Advice: Foley came on with the tying run on base with two outs in the eighth inning and got Andrew Vaughn to ground out to second base. He then returned for the ninth where he plunked Paul DeJong with one out in the inning to bring the go-ahead run to the plate again. Andrew Benintendi then lined out to center field and DeJong forgot how many outs there were, easily getting doubled off of first base to end the ballgame. On the season, Foley now sports a 2.67 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and a 22/9 K/BB ratio (26 1/3 innings) to go along with 13 saves in 15 opportunities. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

    • Jack Flaherty strikes out eight in win on Friday
Jack Flaherty delivered an excellent performance in Friday night’s victory over the White Sox, racking up eight strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings of one-run baseball.

Advice: The right-hander scattered five hits on the night while issuing a pair of free passes. The lone tally against him came on a solo homer off the bat of Tommy Pham in the fifth inning. Aside from that though, he was in complete control. Flaherty got 14 swings and misses on 98 pitches in the ballgame — seven of those on his slider — while posting a strong CSW of 34 percent. Now 5-4 on the season, the increasingly popular trade candidate will carry a sublime 2.92 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and a 108/13 K/BB ratio (83 1/3 innings) into Wednesday’s battle against the Phillies. • Tommy Pham goes deep as White Sox fall to Tigers
Tommy Pham clubbed his fourth home run of the season on Friday night, accounting for the White Sox’ lone run in a loss to the Tigers.

Advice: Pham turned on a first-pitch changeup from Jack Flaherty in the fifth inning and tucked a 370-foot (112.4 mph EV) solo shot just inside the foul pole in left field to get the White Sox on the board and trim their deficit to 2-1. That would be the extent of the scoring in the ballgame. The 36-year-old outfielder finished the night 2-for-4 and is now hitting .282/.353/.410 to go with four long balls and 14 RBI. • Erick Fedde pitches well in loss to Tigers Friday
Erick Fedde pitched well in a losing effort against the Tigers on Friday night, allowing just two runs on five hits over seven strong innings of work.

Advice: The right-hander punched out three batters on the evening while issuing only one base on balls. All of the damage done against him came on one mighty swing of the bat by Carson Kelly on a 2-1 sweeper in the second inning. He settled in beautifully after that and retired the final 14 batters that he faced in the contest, but the White Sox were unable to provide the requisite support. Fedde got 12 whiffs on 92 pitches on the night — six on his sinker — while registering a CSW of 25 percent. He’ll carry a 5-2 record, 3.05 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and an 86/24 K/BB ratio (94 1/3 innings) into Wednesday’s showdown against the Dodgers. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

    • Transferred to 60-day IL
The Dodgers Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times Muncy (oblique) to the 60-day injured list Friday, Jack Harris reports.

Advice: Muncy was placed on the 10-day IL on May 17 due to a Grade 1 right oblique strain. It took him nearly a month to begin taking dry swings and he has been limited to fielding grounders and running the bases. With more steps needed before beginning a rehab assignment, the Dodgers opted to move Muncy to the 60-day IL on Friday, meaning he won't be eligible to return until after the All-Star break. In a corresponding move, the Dodgers activated Kyle Hurt (shoulder) from the 60-day IL and optioned him to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, per Harris. Rotowire.com 40 minutes ago

    • Confirmed to start Saturday
Plesac will start Saturday's game against the Dodgers, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Advice: After posting a quality start his Angels debut, Plesac will get another go-around in the rotation as a fill-in for Jose Soriano (abdomen) who's on the 15-day IL. While Plesac only allowed three runs in his first start, he surrendered a pair of home runs and will face a power-heavy Dodgers lineup Saturday. Rotowire.com Today, 5:01 pm
