    • Earns fifth win
Rodriguez (5-1) earned the win over the White Sox on Thursday, allowing two runs on three hits and five walks over five innings while striking out seven.

Advice: Rodriguez ran into trouble right away after surrendering a leadoff single to Tommy Pham. The right-hander would fail to retire four of the first six batters in the first inning and even walked home the first run of the contest, but was able to escape without any further damage. His command issues surfaced again in the third when he issued a two-out walk and then hit Paul DeJong with a pitch, leading to Chicago's second run. Rodriguez has allowed just two runs over 11 innings since returning from the injured list, though his five walks Thursday marked a season high. He's issued at least three free passes in three straight outings. Rotowire.com Today, 4:45 am
    • Dominant in win
Gausman (3-3) picked up the win over the Tigers on Thursday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks while striking out 10 over six innings.

Advice: Gausman had his best stuff of the year Thursday, striking out a season-high 10 batters while not allowing a hit until the sixth inning when Javier Baez tagged him for a leadoff single. The right-hander induced 18 whiffs on the night and struck out at least two batters in three different innings. He's now won his last three decisions (spanning five starts) and has given up one run or fewer in five of his last seven outings. Rotowire.com Today, 4:10 am
    • Rodriguez gets fifth win Thursday
Grayson Rodriguez allowed two runs in five innings and picked up the win in the Orioles’ 8-6 win over the White Sox on Thursday.

Advice: Rodriguez was a bit of a mixed bag in his second start since coming off the injured list. The win was his fifth of the season. Rodriguez struck out seven, but also allowed three hits and walked five. His ERA is 3.20 on the season now. The 24-year-old right-hander is scheduled to face the Red Sox at home next week.

    • Notches 10th steal
Doyle went 2-for-5 with a double, two RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Thursday's 10-9 extra-innings loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Doyle went 6-for-30 (.200) with no multi-hit efforts over his previous nine games. In that span, he also had four steals and a 9:12 BB:K as he continues to get on base at a healthy clip despite a 28.6 percent strikeout rate for the year. The outfielder is slashing .273/.339/.442 with five home runs, 10 steals, 10 doubles, 15 RBI and 30 runs scored over 47 contests this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:40 pm
    • Gausman strikes out 10 in win Thursday
Kevin Gausman allowed one run and struck out 10 in six innings and picked up the win in the Blue Jays’ 9-1 victory over the Tigers on Thursday.

Advice: Gausman’s 10 strikeouts were a season-high. The win was his third in 10 starts this season. He allowed just three hits and two walks against the hapless Tigers offense. The 33-year-old right-hander is set to face the White Sox on the road next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:20 pm
    • Doyle knocks in two, steals base in loss Thursday
Brenton Doyle went 2-for-5 with a double, a run scored, two RBI and a stolen base against the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: Doyle had an RBI double in the first inning to give the Rockies a 2-0 lead. He added an RBI single in the 11th inning to make it 7-5 Rockies. The stolen base was Doyle’s 10th of the season. He’s up to .273 with a .781 OPS on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:06 pm
    • Continues stellar run
Gil (6-1) earned the win Thursday over the Mariners, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out eight in 6.1 scoreless innings.

Advice: Gil continues to look like a star in the Yankees' rotation -- the 25-year-old right-hander now has five straight wins and quality starts, allowing just two runs over 30.2 innings in that span. He's lowered his ERA to 2.11 on the year with a 1.01 WHIP and 70:29 K:BB through 10 starts (55.1 innings). Gil will look to keep rolling in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week on the road against the Angels. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:07 pm

    • Another strong outing
Skenes didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Giants, allowing one run on six hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out three.

Advice: While Thursday's outing wasn't as dominant as Skene's 11-strikeout performance in his previous start, the rookie right-hander was still effective, coaxing a pair of key double-play balls to limit the Giants to just one run. However, the Pirates bullpen would implode late, leaving Skenes with a no-decision in an eventual 7-6 loss. Skenes now sports a 2.25 ERA with a 1.00 WHIP and an impressive 21:4 K:BB through his first three starts (16 innings). He's currently in line for a road matchup with the Tigers in his next outing. • Paul Skenes limits Giants to one run over six
Paul Skenes allowed one run over six innings with three strikeouts, but didn’t factor into the decision against the Giants on Thursday.

Advice: Skenes allowed six hits and one walk. The right-hander didn’t have his best swing-and-miss stuff, and he did deal with some traffic; something he didn’t deal with at all in his six no-hit innings Friday against the Cubs. Even still, the 21-year-old was impressive again, and he now has a 2.25 ERA and a 21/4 K/BB over three starts. Next up for Skenes is a start against the Tigers on Wednesday.
