      Advice: Guerrero went hitless in his first three at-bats before sending Danny Jansen to third with a double in the top of the eighth, eventually leading to both runners coming home during a three-run inning for Toronto. The first baseman wasn't done there, however, adding a two-run homer in the following frame as the Blue Jays blew out the Tigers. It marked Guerrero's seventh multi-hit game this month, where he's now batting .371 with two homers, 13 RBI and 12 runs scored. The long ball was his first since May 5 against the Nationals.       Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 2-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and a two-run home run against the Tigers on Thursday.

      Suarez walked one and struck out one in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Thursday's 6-4 extra-inning win over the Reds.

      Advice: Suarez had no trouble locking down the save in the 10th inning after the Padres pulled ahead. The right-hander has still allowed just one run all season, and that was March 28 versus the Giants. His scoreless streak is at 20 innings, and he has a 0.40 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 21:5 K:BB over 22.1 innings with 14 saves and one hold on the year as one of baseball's top closers.       Robert Suarez fired a scoreless 10th to pick up a save against the Reds on Thursday.

      Advice: That’s already the 14th save of the season for Suarez; putting him at right around a 40-save pace at this stage of the season. The right-hander hasn’t just helped in that category, as the scoreless 10th puts his ERA at a sparkling 0.40 for the 2024 campaign.       Advice: Carroll put the Diamondbacks on the board in the fifth inning, hitting a triple off Tyler Glasnow to bring two runs in to score. He then cross home plate on a wild pitch. The 23-year-old outfielder has put together a modest five-game hitting streak. Carroll has struggled mightily to start the season, slashing .191/.275/.282 with two homers, 21 runs scored, 16 RBI, and eight steals across 211 plate appearances.       Snell didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against Pittsburgh, allowing four runs on four hits and four walks across 3.1 innings. He struck out five.

      Advice: Snell looked sharp to begin his first start after a month-long IL stint, keeping the Pirates scoreless after three frames. However, the 31-year-old crumbled in the fourth inning, yielding two walks, a hit-by-pitch and an infield single to let a run score and leave the bases loaded with one out for Sean Hjelle. Hjelle gave up a grand slam to the first batter he faced and pushed Snell's earned run total to four. Snell hasn't completed five innings in a start this season and is 0-3 with an 11.40 ERA through 15.0 innings. He's projected for a home start against the Phillies on Monday.       Bassitt (4-6) earned the win Wednesday over the White Sox, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out four over seven scoreless innings.

      Advice: Bassitt threw 70 of 107 pitches for strikes and no trouble protecting the large lead the Blue Jays established in the second inning. He's allowed three runs or fewer in each of his four starts in May, with Wednesday's effort being his best game of the year. The veteran right-hander is at a 4.39 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 49:25 K:BB through 55.1 innings over 10 starts this season. Bassitt's next start is projected to be a rematch with the White Sox in Chicago.
