    • Robert Suarez secures one-out save on Saturday
      Robert Suarez picked up his 19th save of the season on Saturday, recording the final out against the Brewers.

      Advice: It didn’t seem like Suarez would be needed in this one after the Padres entered the ninth inning leading 6-0, but after Brice Turang slugged a two-out grand slam that made things a bit tighter, the 33-year-old right-hander was summoned to close it out. It took him just three pitches to get William Contreras to bounce out to third base to end it.       Elly De La Cruz went 3-for-5 with a solo home run against the Red Sox on Saturday.

      Advice: De La Cruz’ home run was his 13th. He blasted a solo shot off Red Sox starter Nick Pivetta in the third inning. On the bases, he was held without a stolen base, though it wasn’t for lack of trying. De La Cruz was both caught stealing and picked off. He remains stuck on 37 stolen bases entering play Sunday.       Jarren Duran went 2-for-4 with a run scored against the Reds on Saturday.

      Advice: Duran won this game for Boston. He singled in the eighth inning and came around to score the go-ahead run.       Kenley Jansen tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Reds on Saturday.

      Nick Castellanos went 2-for-3 with a home run and five RBI against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

      Advice: Castellanos’ home run was his 11th of the season and went so far he started removing his protective elbow pad before he even exited the batter’s box. In all, he had a sacrifice fly, two-run home run and two-run double. Castellanos has struggled this season with a .225 average and .672 OPS, but the Phillies lineup still provides opportunities to drive in runs as he now has 37 RBI on the year.       Bryce Harper went 4-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

      Advice: Harper’s home run was his 18th of the year. He blasted a two-run shot into the second deck in right field off Arizona starter Tommy Henry in the third inning. Harper now has a seven-game hitting streak and three home runs in his last three games. He’s up to .294 with a .951 OPS and 51 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Today, 3:53 pm
       
    • Ronel Blanco holds O’s to one run over seven
      Ronel Blanco allowed one run in seven innings to get a win Saturday over the Orioles.

      Advice: Blanco gave up a homer to Jordan Westburg in the second inning, but it was smooth sailing for the right-hander from that point on. He did put three runners on via walk, but he was able to strike out four and limited the loaded Baltimore lineup at an impressive level. Blanco has been one of the biggest bright spots for the Astros in 2024, and he’ll take a 2.34 ERA into a scheduled start against the Mets next weekend. Rotoworld Today, 3:29 pm

      Oneil Cruz went 1-for-3 with two runs scored, a walk and a solo home run against the Rays on Saturday.



      Advice: Cruz’ home run was his 10th of the year. The solo shot came against Rays starter Zach Eflin in the first inning with two outs. It was Cruz’ first home run since June 8th. While he hits the ball hard when he connects, Cruz’ 32 percent strikeout percentage is still quite high. Maybe he’ll get his power stroke going in the second half of the year to help prop up all the strikeouts.

    • Oneil Cruz homers, scores twice in win over Rays
      Oneil Cruz homered and scored two runs in a 4-2 win for the Pirates on Saturday.

      Advice: Cruz obliterated a Zack Eflin pitch for a 445-foot dinger to tie the game at 1-1 in the first. The 25-year-old also drew a walk and came around to score a few batters later. There are going to be ups and downs with Cruz, but the power is obviously legitimate, and helps mitigate some of the contact issues. Rotoworld Today, 3:16 pm
