    • Plays field in rehab game
Bogaerts (shoulder) went 0-for-3 while playing second base in a minor-league rehab game with Triple-A El Paso on Friday.

Advice: After playing as the designated hitter in his first rehab contest Thursday, Bogaerts transitioned to second base in his second game Friday. He's gone 1-for-6 with a walk and two strikeouts over the pair of appearances. While there seems to be ample time for Bogaerts to ramp up and return to the Padres before the All-Star break, MLB.com reports that manager Mike Shildt wouldn't commit to that Friday, saying "I wouldn't rule it out, but I wouldn't say, 'Yes.'" • Four hits in win
Arenado went 4-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Friday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Nationals.

Advice: Arenado had one of his best games of the season. Even with his four hits, he remains cold in terms of run production -- he has just two RBI over his last 14 contests. For the year, he's at a .265/.317/.377 slash line with seven home runs, 34 RBI, 32 runs scored, 14 doubles and a stolen base over 81 games. Rotowire.com Today, 10:13 am

    • Returns from suspension
The Mets activated Diaz from his 10-game suspension Saturday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: Diaz was dealt an automatic 10-game suspension June 24 for the use of an illegal substance on the mound, and he'll now reclaim his usual role as New York's closer. The 30-year-old has been met with struggles this season, putting up a 4.70 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in 23 innings, but his return will still provide a much-needed boost to the Mets' bullpen, which posted an 8.37 ERA while Diaz was suspended. • Oneil Cruz batting eighth Saturday vs. southpaw
Oneil Cruz is batting eighth on Saturday against the Mets.

Advice: It’s the lowest Cruz has batted in Pittsburgh’s lineup in quite some time as he’s been dropped down with lefty David Peterson on the mound for New York on Saturday afternoon. The 25-year-old shortstop has shown some signs of life lately, batting .292 (7-for-24) with one homer and one steal over his last seven games. Rotoworld Today, 9:00 am

    • Edwin Díaz finishes serving 10-game suspension
Mets activated RHP Edwin Díaz from the restricted list.

Advice: Díaz has finished serving an automatic 10-game suspension handed down by the league after he was ejected back on June 23 for using an illegal foreign substance. The 30-year-old will be back in New York’s bullpen for Saturday’s contest against the Pirates. According to Newsday’s Tim Healey, the Mets’ bullpen recorded a league-worst 8.37 ERA during his absence. Needless to say, his return is going to make a significant impact, even if he’s not back to best closer in the universe status. Rotoworld Today, 8:48 am
    • Swipes 43rd bag
De La Cruz went 1-for-2 with two walks, a run scored and a stolen base in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Tigers.

Advice: It was the first time since June 16 that the 22-year-old has drawn multiple free passes, while the stolen base was his league-leading 43rd of the year -- 15 ahead of second-place Brice Turang. De La Cruz can be streaky, but he's red hot right now, slashing .352/.417/.704 over his last 13 games with 10 extra-base hits (four doubles, three triples and three homers), six steals, eight RBI and 13 runs. • Notches 17th save
Jansen gave up a hit in a scoreless 10th inning Friday to record his 17th save of the season in a 5-3 win over the Yankees.

Advice: The veteran closer is on an impressive roll. Jansen has been scored upon only once in his last 14 appearances, racking up two wins and 10 saves on 10 chances over that stretch with a 0.61 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 13:2 K:BB over 14.2 innings. The 36-year-old isn't as dominant as he was during his Dodgers heyday, but Jansen is still finding ways to be effective and he has yet to serve up a home run in 2024. Rotowire.com Today, 6:48 am
    • Reaches four times, goes deep
Greene went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double and a solo home run in Friday's 5-4 win over the Reds.

Advice: Greene has been hot lately, as he's riding a four-game hitting streak, during which he's gone 8-for-16 with two home runs. He's up to 17 long balls this season, which is already a new career high. The 23-year-old Greene appears to be having his breakout, so fantasy managers should enjoy the ride as long as the young outfielder stays healthy. Rotowire.com Today, 6:35 am

    • Cole Ragans pitches well in no decision vs. COL
Cole Ragans didn’t factor into the decision despite allowing just two runs in seven innings with eight strikeouts against the Rockies on Friday.

Advice: Ragans did walk three and gave up five hits, but for the most part, it was a very strong outing and a nice bounce back from his struggles against the Guardians (4 2/3 innings, five runs). The left-hander has shown that 2023 was no fluke with a 3.28 ERA and 134/37 K/BB over his 19 starts and 109 2/3 innings of work. He very well could — and should — be named an All-Star, but his last start before that game will come against the Red Sox on Friday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:29 pm
