    • Fernando Tatis Jr. (femur) out until second half
Fernando Tatis Jr. expects to be sidelined until after the All-Star break because of his right femoral stress reaction.

Advice: And not just until immediately after the All-Star break, either; this will likely be at least a six-week injury for Tatis. Bryce Johnson will fill in for now, but the Padres need to go get themselves an extra outfielder as soon as possible. Rotoworld Monday, 10:27 pm

    • Stress reaction sends Fernando Tatis Jr. to IL
Padres placed OF Fernando Tatis Jr. on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to June 22, with a right femoral stress reaction.

Advice: That’s better than a stress fracture, but it’s not great. The Padres will likely go to Bryce Johnson in right field most days, but he’s not going to replace Tatis’s production. Tatis was hitting .279/.354/.468 with 14 homers in 345 plate appearances. Rotoworld Monday, 3:54 pm

    • Lands on IL with quad injury
The Padres placed Tatis on the 10-day injured list Monday, retroactive to June 22, due to a right femoral stress reaction in his quadriceps.

Advice: Tatis missed the last two games with a triceps injury after being hit in the left arm by a pitch Friday, and he will now be sidelined with a separate quadriceps injury. His stint on the IL would line up with a return in early July, but it's possible the 25-year-old will be held out longer than that until perhaps after the All-Star break, per Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune. Tatis is slashing .279/.354/.468 with 14 home runs and 36 RBI over 345 plate appearances and an .822 OPS. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:44 pm

    • Fernando Tatis Jr. to land on IL with quad injury
Fernando Tatis Jr. is going on the IL with a slight stress reaction in his quad, according to manager Mike Shildt.

Advice: That’s another big loss for the Padres offense, especially given the alternatives in right field. The Padres are bringing up Bryce Johnson and likely will give him a lot of playing time for at least the next couple of weeks. Rotoworld Monday, 3:32 pm

    • Fernando Tatis Jr. was available off bench Sunday
Padres’ manager Mike Shildt told reporters after Sunday’s loss to the Brewers that Fernando Tatis Jr. (triceps, quad) was available off the bench.

Advice: The Padres were simply waiting for the right opportunity to present itself on Sunday, unfortunately it never did. It’s good news for the superstar outfielder’s availability going forward though, as he should return to the Padres’ starting lineup early in the week. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:45 pm

    • Fernando Tatis Jr. out again Sunday due to injury
Fernando Tatis Jr. (triceps, quad) remains out of the lineup for Sunday’s series finale against the Brewers.

Advice: Tatis will miss his second consecutive contest after being drilled in the left triceps by a pitch during Friday’s showdown at Petco Park. If there’s a positive takeaway here it’s that the 25-year-old fantasy superstar didn’t need to undergo any precautionary imaging and is merely day-to-day with a triceps contusion. He’s also been playing through a lingering quad issue, which might be the more pressing issue at the moment. There should be a decision from San Diego concerning his status at some point early next week. Rotoworld Sunday, 10:53 am

    • Sitting again Sunday
Tatis (triceps) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Milwaukee.

Advice: Tatis exited Friday's 9-5 win after getting hit in the left arm by a pitch, and he'll now miss his second consecutive start as a result. David Peralta will once again start in right field while Donovan Solano serves as San Diego's designated hitter. According to MLB.com, Padres manager Mike Shildt said Tatis would have been available to pinch hit in Saturday's 6-2 loss if an opportunity presented itself, so the 25-year-old would appear to be day-to-day and could be ready to return to the lineup during the Padres' upcoming three-game series with the Nationals that begins Monday. • Crushes homer in loss
Ozuna went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Saturday's 8-3 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Ozuna opened the scoring with his first-inning homer. He's up to 21 long balls on the year, and he's hit five of them while batting .315 (23-for-73) over 19 contests in June. That's right on track with where he's been all year -- the 33-year-old is hitting .312 with a .986 OPS, 64 RBI, 45 runs scored and no stolen bases over 74 games this season while maintaining his usual spot in the heart of Atlanta's order. • Homers in return to lineup
Jones went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Friday against the Nationals.

Advice: Jones was out of the starting nine for two games with an illness, but he returned to the lineup and hit sixth Friday. He tallied his second home run of the season and has seven hits across 18 at-bats with only three strikeouts since being activated from the injured list June 14. Rotowire.com Friday, 11:48 pm
