  • Garcia hits RBI triple in win over Guardians
Maikel Garcia went 1-for-4 with a run scored, a triple, and an RBI against the Guardians on Thursday.

Advice: Garcia tied the game at one with an RBI triple in the sixth inning and came around to score on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Vinnie Pasquantino. Those were the only runs the Royals scored on the night, but it was enough to squeak out a 2-1 victory. Garcia needs to have more of an impact if he’s going to retain his spot atop the Kansas City lineup for the rest of the season. He’s hitting .232 with a .629 OPS on the season. • Bryce Harper suffers left hamstring injury in loss
Bryce Harper suffered a left hamstring injury during Thursday’s loss to the Marlins.

Advice: Not good. Harper suffered the apparent injury during the ninth inning of Thursday’s loss while attempting to beat out an infield grounder on the final play of the contest. The 31-year-old slugger, who crushed an RBI double off the base of the center-field wall in the opening frame against Marlins southpaw Trevor Rogers for his 1,000th career hit, will undergo additional testing to determine the severity of the injury. There should be an update on his status prior to Friday’s showdown. Rotoworld Today, 6:30 pm

  • Brandon Drury out again Thursday due to illness
Brandon Drury (illness) remains out of the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Tigers.

Advice: It’s honestly a total mystery why Drury hasn’t been placed on the injured list yet since he’s set to miss his seventh consecutive contest since last Wednesday due to an ongoing battle with a respiratory virus. • Not starting Thursday
Drury (illness) isn't in the Angels' lineup for Thursday's game against the Tigers, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Drury will be missing his seventh consecutive game as he continues to fight off an upper-respiratory virus. There hasn't been any sort of indication from the Angels that they will place him on the injured list, so the 31-year-old should still be considered day-to-day. Luis Rengifo will start at second base Thursday with Miguel Sano at third. Rotowire.com Today, 2:54 pm
