• Maikel Garcia gets a day off on Thursday
Maikel Garcia is not in the Royals’ lineup for Thursday’s game against the Athletics.

Advice: The 24-year-old is hitting just .145 in 16 games in June with 12 strikeouts. He does have four steals and 10 runs scored and is coming off a month of May where he hit .305, so this might be nothing but a brief cold stretch. The Royals will hope a day off helps him get back on track. In the meantime, Garrett Hampson will start at second base and hit eighth with Nick Loftin moving over to third base. • J.P. Crawford tossed for arguing balls and strikes
J.P. Crawford was ejected from Wednesday’s contest against the Guardians after arguing a questionable third strike call in the fifth inning.

Advice: Things got heated between the M’s shortstop and home plate umpire Doug Eddings, with Crawford and eventually manager Scott Servais both getting the heave-ho. Crawford will have to catch the rest of Wednesday’s game from the clubhouse. Rotoworld Wednesday, 5:02 pm

  • Homers, drives in three
Crawford went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer, an RBI double and a pair of walks in Tuesday's 8-5 victory over the Guardians.

Advice: Crawford got the Mariners on the board with a two-run blast off Triston McKenzie in the third inning before adding a third RBI with a double in the fourth. Crawford had gone just 1-for-25 with no extra-base hits in seven games prior to Tuesday. Overall, he's slashing just .208/.305/.375 with seven homers, 21 RBI and 29 runs scored through 220 plate appearances this year. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:18 am

  • J.P. Crawford has two hits, HR in win
J.P. Crawford went 2-for-3 with two walks and three RBI in a win over the Guardians on Tuesday.

Advice: Crawford had two of the five hardest-hit balls of the game with a 106.2 mph double and a 105 mph home run, which was his seventh of the season to go along with 21 RBI. Crawford remains in the leadoff spot for the Mariners but had just one hit in his last seven games coming into today. He’ll remain a fixture in the lineup and has added legitimate 15-20 home run pop over the last two years, which keeps him on the deep league fantasy radar. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:33 pm

  • Lands on injured list
The Blue Jays placed Bichette on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to June 15, with a right calf strain.

Advice: The 26-year-old hasn't seen the field since Friday due to the calf issue and will be sidelined for at least another week after being diagnosed with a strain. According to Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca, manager John Schneider expects Bichette to return from the injured list when first eligible June 25. Isiah Kiner-Falefa is starting at shortstop Tuesday and could operate as Toronto's primary option there for the immediate future, and Orelvis Martinez was called up and should also see infield action while Bichette is sidelined. • Blue Jays place Bo Bichette on IL with calf strain
Blue Jays placed INF Bo Bichette on the 10-day injured list with a right calf strain.

Advice: Bichette has been dealing with soreness in his right calf, and rather than wait for the infielder to get ready and play short-handed, the Blue Jays will take precaution and place the star shortstop on the injured list. He’ll miss at least a week, but a more concrete timeline should be available shortly. In the meantime, Orelvis Martinez is taking Bichette’s place on the active roster. Rotoworld Tuesday, 12:23 pm

  • Bo Bichette (calf) remains out of lineup vs. BOS
Bo Bichette (calf) is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s contest against the Red Sox.

Advice: Bichette has not been able to play since Friday due to soreness in his right calf. The shortstop has reportedly made progress, but not enough to get him back in the lineup just yet. Isiah Kiner-Falefa gets another start at shortstop with Bichette out. Rotoworld Tuesday, 12:07 pm

  • Could be available off bench Monday
Blue Jays manager John Schneider said that Bichette (calf) could be available off the bench for Monday's game against the Red Sox, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: Bichette is out of the lineup for the third consecutive game while he works his way back from a right calf injury, but Schneider suggested that the shortstop is trending in the right direction and is scheduled to do "more hitting, baserunning, agility stuff" during a pregame workout. If Bichette responds well to those activities, the Blue Jays could call on him to make a pinch-hitting appearance in Monday's contest. Even if the Blue Jays opt to stay away from Bichette for another day, he would still seem likely to avoid a trip to the injured list and could be back in the lineup as soon as Tuesday. • Bo Bichette (calf) works out prior to game
Bo Bichette is again out of Monday’s lineup with calf tightness, but he might be available off the bench.

Advice: That depends on how his on-field workout goes prior to the game. The Jays have Isiah Kiner-Falefa at short and Ernie Clement at third tonight. Rotoworld Monday, 1:16 pm
