• Tallies two thefts Thursday
Taylor went 2-for-3 with a walk and two stolen bases in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Rockies.

Advice: It's been a brutal season for Taylor, as evidenced by the fact that this was his first multi-hit game. The utility man capitalized on reaching base three times by swiping two bags after entering Thursday with just one steal this season. Taylor is still slashing a putrid .131/.230/.192 on the campaign, but he's at least shown some signs of life of late, going 5-for-15 over his past six contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:34 pm

  • Belts three-run blast
Miranda went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run Thursday against the Rays.

Advice: Miranda's clutch homer came with two on and two out in the ninth inning to tie the game and send it into extra innings. It was the eighth blast of the season for Miranda, who continues to distance himself from last year's nightmarish campaign. The third-year pro is now slashing .280/.317/.477 with eight homers, 12 doubles, a triple, 27 RBI, 23 runs and a steal over 205 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:02 pm
  • Noelvi Marte batting .194 at Triple-A Louisville
Reds 3B prospect Noelvi Marte went 0-for-5 with a pair of strikeouts on Thursday for Triple-A Louisville.

Advice: Marte is batting .194 through eight games at Triple-A Louisville as he continues to knock off some of the rust following a lengthy layoff due to a league-issued 80-game suspension after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:40 pm

  • Jhonkensy Noel plates two on Thursday at Triple-A
Guardians 1B/OF prospect Jhonkensy Noel went 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI on Thursday for Triple-A Columbus.

Advice: Noel’s stock slipped a bit last year as he struggled in the upper minors, but he’s really turned things around this year, cutting back on the strikeouts and still hitting for power. The 22-year-old slugger has 17 round-trippers in 62 games so far this season at Triple-A Columbus. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him get a shot in Cleveland at some point later this year. • Brett Baty homers again on Thursday at Triple-A
Brett Baty launched a two-run homer on Thursday for Triple-A Syracuse.

Advice: Baty went deep for the second consecutive contest and is up to five round-trippers in just 11 games since June 1. The 24-year-old former top prospect is batting .370 (17-for-46). It feels like only a matter of time before he gets another look in the big leagues for New York. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:19 pm

  • Angels outright Cole Tucker to Triple-A
Angels sent INF/OF Cole Tucker outright to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Advice: Tucker batted .180/.263/.300 with three steals in 57 plate appearances over 24 games in a brief stint with the Angels and wound up going unclaimed after being designated for assignment earlier this week. The 27-year-old appears likely to stick around as extra organizational depth for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:26 pm

  • Outrighted to Salt Lake
Tucker was outrighted to Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday.

Advice: Tucker was designated for assignment Monday and went unclaimed on waivers. He'll remain in the organization and return to Salt Lake, where he maintained a .962 OPS across 40 plate appearances earlier in the campaign. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:03 pm

  • Tyler Black at first base on Thursday vs. Padres
Tyler Black is at first base and batting seventh on Thursday against the Giants.

Advice: Black is making his first appearance back in the majors since early May when he batted .227 (5-for-22) with zero homers and two steals in a brief seven-game cameo. The 23-year-old possesses exemplary plate skills and ultra-rare stolen base prowess for a first base-eligible fantasy option. The 23-year-old top prospect is going to make a significant impact for fantasy managers, if he can carve out an everyday role for Milwaukee. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:03 pm

  • Jose Miranda hits game-tying homer in ninth
Jose Miranda blasted a three-run homer to tie the game in the ninth against the Rays.

Advice: With the Twins trailing 6-3 and two outs and two on in the ninth, Miranda came up huge with a three-run blast off Pete Fairbanks to send the game to extra innings. Unfortunately for Miranda and the Twins, they would still fall in the 10th. Miranda also hit a single, and the 25-year-old has hit a very respectable .280/.317/.477 over the first 74 games of 2024.
