    • Luis Severino walks career-high six versus Rays
Luis Severino was charged with four runs in five innings Sunday in a no-decision against the Rays.

Advice: Severino’s velocity was down a little today and he walked a career-high six batters, which is a little scary. He had never even walked five in a start previously. He’s not one of the Mets pitchers that typically has issues with the stolen base — he had allowed just one in his first six starts this season — but the Rays swiped three bases while he was in the game and seven in eight tries overall today. It’s the most runs he’s allowed since he was roughed up in his Mets debut on March 30. He’ll get the Braves next, so sitting him in mixed leagues seems like a good idea. Rotoworld 49 minutes ago
    • Nico Hoerner leads Cubs past Brewers on Sunday
Nico Hoerner doubled and drove in a pair of runs on Sunday, propelling the Cubs to a 5-0 victory over the visiting Brewers.

Advice: Hoerner opened the scoring in the ballgame with a two-run double off of Freddy Peralta in the home half of the fifth inning. He then advanced to third on a ground ball and dashed home on a wild pitch with the Cubs’ third run of the day. The speedy 26-year-old infielder finished the afternoon 1-for-5 and is now hitting .282/.358/.397 with one home run, 10 RBI and four swipes through his first 34 games of the 2024 season. • Season-high four RBI in win
Kim went 1-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in Saturday's win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Kim went hitless in his first three at-bats before joining in on the party in the top of the seventh with a three-run homer, his fifth long ball of the season. The infielder would drive in another run in the ninth on a groundout, giving him a season-high four RBI in the contest. Kim has hit safely in three of his last four games, but he has only five games this season in which he's registered multiple hits. Rotowire.com Today, 6:36 am

    • Tosses eight scoreless frames
Gilbert (3-0) earned the win in Saturday's 5-0 victory over Houston, allowing two hits and four walks while striking out six batters over eight scoreless innings.

Advice: Gilbert tied a season-high mark with four walks, but that didn't hurt him since he gave up just a pair of hits (both singles). The right-hander notched his fifth straight quality start and lowered his season ERA to 1.69, fifth lowest among qualified MLB pitchers. Gilbert also ranks fifth among qualified starters with a 0.79 WHIP and has registered a 50:13 K:BB through 48 innings on the campaign. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:27 pm
    • Logan Gilbert hurls eight shutout frames vs. Astros
Logan Gilbert fired eight shutout innings on Saturday in a win over the Astros.

Advice: Gilbert continued putting zeroes on the scoreboard against a loaded Astros lineup, needing just 96 pitches (60 strikes) to navigate eight dominant frames. The 27-year-old burgeoning fantasy ace finished with six strikeouts and only allowed six baserunners as Houston’s lineup mustered just five batted balls with an exit velocity over 95 mph. He’s allowed two earned runs or fewer in six of his seven starts so far this season. He’ll bring a pristine 1.69 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 50/13 K/BB ratio across 48 innings (seven starts) into a road tilt on Thursday against the Twins. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:14 pm
    • Continues to impress
Lively (1-1) earned the win over the Angels on Saturday, allowing one run on four hits and three walks while striking out five batters over six innings.

Advice: Lively got through four scoreless frames before the Angels posted a run in the fifth, but that was all the scoring the right-hander ended up allowing. The soon-to-be 32-year-old has yielded exactly one run in each of his past three starts, and he's given up a total of five earned runs across 21.2 innings on the season for a sterling ERA of 2.08. It's a bit difficult to imagine Lively continuing this level of success given that he entered the campaign with a 5.05 ERA across 208.2 career innings as a major-leaguer, and his Statcast numbers show that despite his strong start to the season, he has given up plenty of hard contact while rarely getting batters to chase. However, it's also worth noting that his strikeout numbers have tangibly risen -- Lively had a career 6.9 K/9 prior to this season but is at a 10.0 K/9 through four starts this year. • Big day in extra-inning loss
Arenado went 3-for-3 with two walks and a three-run home run in Saturday's 6-5 extra-inning loss to the White Sox.

Advice: The veteran third baseman took Erick Fedde deep in the fifth inning to give the Cardinals a 5-3 lead, but it didn't hold up. Arenado has recorded multiple hits in three of the last five games, and the surge has boosted his slash line on the season to .296/.362/.408 with two homers, 14 runs and 19 RBI through 33 contests. • Folds against Cards
Fedde escaped with a no-decision Saturday in a 6-5 extra-inning win over the Cardinals, giving up five runs on four hits and five walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: The right-hander blanked St. Louis for four innings despite issuing free passes in the first, second and fourth frames, but his luck ran out in the fifth. Fortunately for Fedde, the White Sox came back to tie the game up after he left the mound before winning in the 10th. Fedde threw only 48 of 91 pitches for strikes in his shortest outing of the season, and he has walked at least three batters in three of his last five starts. He'll take a 3.46 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 41:14 K:BB through 39 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Guardians. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:13 pm
    • Ha-Seong Kim launches three-run homer in victory
Ha-Seong Kim launched a three-run homer in the seventh inning on Saturday night, helping to power the Padres to a lopsided victory over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Kim had been hitless in three at-bats entering the seventh inning, but he was able to salvage his night by crushing a 382-foot (97.2 mph EV) three-run blast off of Bryce Jarvis. He also drove in a run with a ground ball in the ninth inning. On the season, the 28-year-old infielder is now slashing .211/.315/.391 with five homers, 21 RBI and seven stolen bases through his first 36 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:07 pm
