    • On verge of rehab assignment
Bogaerts (shoulder) could begin a rehab assignment within the next day or two, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union Tribune reports.

Advice: Bogaerts had a CT scan of his left shoulder Monday, the results of which indicated that he is ready to resume playing. Acee indicates that the infielder will likely head out on a rehab assignment with Triple-A El Paso in the coming days, and team officials have previously suggested that a rehab stint would last 7 to 10 days. Though manager Mike Shildt recently said that there is no timeline for Bogaerts' activation from the injured list, if all goes well moving forward, he could rejoin the Padres for their home series against Atlanta that begins July 12. • Increase in activity possible
Toro (hamstring) could begin running the bases at some point before the end of the week, MLB.com reports.

Advice: The infielder is still expected to be sidelined through the All-Star break, but this report represents the first bit of encouraging news regarding Toro's recovery. Toro is dealing with a Grade 1 hamstring strain, so he'll likely need to eventually prove himself in at least a couple of rehab games before being deemed ready for activation. • Lone bright spot Tuesday
Rojas went 2-for-2 in a loss to the Orioles on Tuesday.

Advice: Rojas' pair of singles were the only hits the Mariners' moribund offense was able to muster against Grayson Rodriguez and a trio of relievers. The veteran infielder has emerged from a recent 0-for-13, four-game skid in solid fashion, going 5-for-13 over the next four contests, albeit with just one extra-base hit (a double) in that span. • Rockies activate and option prospect Adael Amador
Rockies activated 2B Adael Amador from the 10-day injured list; optioned him to Double-A Hartford.

Advice: Amador got into 10 contests for the Rockies last month before hitting the injured list with a right oblique strain. The 21-year-old second baseman is one of the top prospects in the fantasy landscape, but he’s yet to play above Double-A in the minors. His time is coming in Colorado, but it’s probably not going to be until next year. Rotoworld Today, 3:46 am

    • Notches three hits
Palacios went 3-for-4 with an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base during Tuesday's win over the Royals.

Advice: Palacios singled and came around to score in the second inning to give the Rays an early 1-0 lead. Following a 2.5-hour rain delay, he then lined an RBI double into right field in the sixth frame. Another single in the eighth allowed him to swipe a bag -- his 13th steal of the season. The 27-year-old is now slashing .251/.345/.348 on the year and has three multi-hit performances in his last five contests. Rotowire.com Today, 12:43 am

    • Slugs seventh homer
Lowe went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, scored twice and drew a walk during the Rays' win over Kansas City on Tuesday.

Advice: Lowe's seventh-inning walk enabled him to score on an Isaac Paredes double immediately afterward, and his homer in the ninth frame gave Tampa Bay some additional insurance as the team cruised to a 5-1 victory. The 29-year-old has now hit seven home runs on the year, two of which have come in his last two games. Rotowire.com Today, 12:41 am
    • Another multi-hit game
Altuve went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored during Tuesday's 7-6 loss to Toronto.

Advice: For the sixth time in seven games, Altuve generated multiple hits, tagging the Blue Jays for three singles Tuesday. During that stretch, Altuve is 13-for-31 (.419) with a pair of home runs and three stolen bases. He ranks top five in homers, batting average and stolen bases among second basemen this season. • On base four times in win
Donovan went 3-for-4 with a walk, one RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Donovan had just six hitless games in June -- two of which were at the start of the month and two more at the end. He got off to a positive start in July with Tuesday's effort, his third three-hit game over his last 11 contests. He's up to a .270/.340/.414 slash line with eight home runs, 42 RBI, 37 runs scored, two stolen bases, 18 doubles and one triple over 79 games. Donovan's hit well enough to have a near-everyday role in left field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:51 pm

    • Clubs third homer
Schneemann went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Schneemann has gone 10-for-41 (.244) with three homers and nine RBI over his last 13 games. The utility man is at a .262/.356/.508 slash line over his first 73 plate appearances in the majors, which has been enough to keep him in the lineup fairly regularly. He's seen most of his recent playing time between center field and right field, offering a left-handed-hitting option to complement righties Tyler Freeman and Jhonkensy Noel.
