• Gets hit hard Monday
Wentz allowed five runs on five hits out of the bullpen while not retiring a single batter in Monday's 8-3 loss to the Royals.

Advice: Wentz had his first true disaster outing of the season, which included allowing his first home run of the year to Salvador Perez. The lefty came into the game with a stellar 1.08 ERA but departed with that figure up to 3.78. One bad appearance doesn't undo nearly two months of solid play, though after Wentz struggled mightily in 2023, it was fair to expect some regression after his great start to the season. • Stratton gets save Monday
Chris Stratton picked up a four-out save against the Tigers on Monday.

Advice: The save was Stratton’s third of the season. He isn’t a threat to James McArthur, the Royals’ regular closer. Stratton just happened to enter the game with an 8-3 lead and the bases loaded in the eighth inning. Technically it was a save opportunity because the tying run was in the on-deck circle. Don’t expect Stratton to be an option for many more saves over the course of the rest of the season. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago
  • Settles for no-decision
Stroman yielded a run on three hits and a walk over 7.1 innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out six during the win over Seattle.

Advice: Stroman cruised through seven shutout frames before coughing up a solo homer to Dominic Canzone in the eighth inning. Stroman was in line for his fourth win before the Yankees blew the lead in the ninth. He's produced a 2.22 ERA over his last four starts, dropping his season ERA to 3.05 through 56 innings. He's turned in two straight quality starts after failing to finish at least six frames in his previous six appearances. Stroman is in line to start in San Diego this weekend. • Loses perfect ERA
Holmes (1-1) allowed four runs on four hits and two walks while taking a loss against the Mariners on Monday. He blew a save chance and recorded only two outs.

Advice: Holmes entered Monday with zero earned runs allowed through 20 innings this season. Seattle chipped away at him with singles and walks to plate four runs and take the lead in the ninth inning. Holmes' ERA jumped to 1.74 as he was handed his first loss of the year. He's converted 13 of his 15 save chances while registering a 23:6 K:BB through 20.2 innings. Rotowire.com 26 minutes ago
  • Wacha picks up fourth win Monday
Michael Wacha allowed two runs in seven innings and picked up the win in the Royals’ 8-3 victory over the Tigers on Monday.

Advice: The win was Wacha’s fourth of the season. He allowed six hits, a walk, and struck out three. The Tigers only runs against Wacha came on a Kerry Carpenter solo home run in the fourth inning and a Colt Keith RBI double in the seventh inning. Wacha’s ERA is now 4.45 on the season. So far he’s rewarded fantasy managers that picked him up for his two-start week. The 32-year-old right-hander is scheduled to face the Rays on the road this weekend.

  • Collects win in extras
Scott (4-4) earned the win Monday against the Brewers, allowing no hits and one walk in one shutout inning. He struck out one.

Advice: Scott gathered his fourth win by shutting down Milwaukee in the top of the tenth and benefitting from a walk-off Josh Bell single in the bottom of the inning. The Marlins lefty has tossed seven consecutive scoreless outings, notching three wins, one save and one hold with a 9:5 K:BB over 7.1 innings. Despite owning a 8.1 BB/9, Scott sports a 1.80 ERA in 20 innings overall. Rotowire.com 33 minutes ago
  • Notches ninth save
Munoz allowed a hit in a scoreless inning against the Yankees on Monday. He struck out two and earned a save.

Advice: Munoz worked around a one-out single by Juan Soto to finish off the 5-4 victory. Since blowing a save in Colorado on April 21, Munoz has converted his last seven chances, allowing just one run over 13 innings during that span. His ERA is down to 1.77 with a 28:7 K:BB through 20.1 frames. Rotowire.com 34 minutes ago
  • Returned to Triple-A
Kerr was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett after Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader against the Padres.

Advice: Kerr had a shaky performance his last time out Sunday against the Padres, surrendering two runs on four hits while striking out four over 3.1 innings of work. He'll return to Triple-A following Monday's move, where he's posted a 4.50 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with 22 strikeouts over 14 frames. Rotowire.com 34 minutes ago

  • Fans eight in no-decision
Weathers did not factor into the decision Monday against Milwaukee, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks over seven innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Weathers generated 14 whiffs en route to his eight strikeouts, reaching that mark for the first time since punching out 10 on April 16 against San Francisco. The Miami lefty has thrown four consecutive quality starts, posting a 2.67 ERA, 0.70 WHIP and 20:4 K:BB over 27 innings during that time. Weathers is currently slated to make his next start against Arizona on the road this weekend. Rotowire.com 35 minutes ago
