    Gunnar Henderson went 1-for-3 with a walk and a three-run home run against the Cardinals on Monday.

    Advice: Henderson accounted for all the Orioles’ runs on the night. He blasted his league-leading 16th home run in the sixth inning off Sonny Gray, who hadn’t allowed a single hit at that point in the game.     Otto Lopez hit a game-tying single in the ninth inning on Monday in the Marlins eventual extra-inning win over the Brewers.

    Advice: Lopez came through with a clutch single to right field against Brewers closer Trevor Megill, which allowed Nick Gordon to race around and score easily from second base. The 25-year-old finds himself playing regularly for the Marlins at the moment and has come through with a solid .296/.339/.519 triple-slash line with three homers and two steals in 59 plate appearances so far.     Carlos Correa clubbed a two-run homer on Monday in the Twins’ blowout loss to the Nationals.

    Advice: Correa walloped a two-run shot off Nationals starter Mitchell Parker in the sixth inning, but it did little to alter the outcome of Monday’s series opener.     Ceddanne Rafaela belted a two-run homer on Monday in the Red Sox’ win over the Rays.

    Advice: Rafaela took Rays starter Taj Bradley deep for a two-run shot -- his fifth long ball of the season -- in the fifth inning to give Boston a commanding five-run lead at the time. It was his second round-tripper in his last six contests.     Advice: Mastrobuoni went 0-for-10 at the dish over his last three games, and he'll be demoted to the minors now that Dansby Swanson (knee) is ready to be activated from the 10-day IL and Luiz Vasquez is ready to get a shot with the big-league club.     Advice: The Cubs don’t play today, so it’s kind of surprising that the move is coming now. However, MLB.com’s transactions page says it’s official. Still unofficial is the Luis Vazquez callup, which is expected to happen before the game Tuesday. Swanson should start at shortstop Tuesday after missing two weeks with a sprained knee.
