    • Ke’Bryan Hayes not in lineup Sunday vs. Twins
Ke’Bryan Hayes is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s tilt against the Twins.

Advice: Hayes will get Sunday off as the Pirates look to sweep the Twins. The 27-year-old takes a seat with Jared Triolo hitting seventh and playing third versus Bailey Ober and Minnesota. Rotoworld Today, 7:54 am

    • Not used in save situation
Diaz was not brought in to close out Saturday's 4-3 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Lucas Sims opened the ninth inning before departing with two runners on base, giving way to Justin Wilson to pick up the save. Presumably, Diaz was not used because he threw 42 pitches on back-to-back days leading up to Saturday's game. Rotowire.com Today, 6:11 am
    • Cora: Red Sox hopeful O’Neill (knee) back Tuesday
Red Sox manager Alex Cora told reporters that Tyler O’Neill (knee) will miss Sunday’s game against the White Sox

Advice: Cora did say that he was hopeful that O’Neill will be able to play Tuesday against the Phillies. The outfielder was removed from Friday’s game against the White Sox with renewed knee discomfort, but it sounds like Boston is just taking precautions with O’Neill after he missed 10 games with his knee injury at the end of May/beginning of June. For now, consider him day-to-day. Rotoworld Today, 6:03 am

    • Out until at least Tuesday
Manager Alex Cora said Saturday that O'Neill (knee) will remain out of the lineup for Sunday's series finale with the White Sox, but the Red Sox remain hopeful to have him back in the lineup for Tuesday's series opener in Philadelphia following an off day Monday, the Associated Press reports. "If we can take advantage of the next three days and avoid the [injured list], that's what we're gonna do," Cora said.

Advice: After being on the IL previously with right knee inflammation, O'Neill was activated Wednesday. However, O'Neill made just three starts before he was removed in Friday's 7-2 loss to Chicago in the third inning, after he had tweaked his knee while tracking down a flyball the inning prior. Though the Red Sox are seemingly optimistic that O'Neill will steer clear of another IL stint, he'll still need to demonstrate enough progress coming out of Monday's off day for that to become a reality. Bobby Dalbec started in right field in place of O'Neill in Saturday's 6-1 loss and could be the main beneficiary if O'Neill continues to miss more time beyond Sunday. Rotowire.com Today, 4:17 am

    • Jake Cronenworth drives home four vs. D-Backs
Jake Cronenworth drove in four runs while homering in a 13-1 rout of the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Advice: Cronenworth annihilated a Logan Allen pitch in the fourth inning to extend the Padres’ lead to 7-0. The infielder also singled home a run an inning later to give him his fourth RBI of the game and 44th of the season. Cronenworth has scuffled at the plate as of late, but the metrics suggest he’s due for more games like this over the summer. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:09 pm

    • Posts big stat line Saturday
Tovar went 4-for-4 with two home runs and four total RBI in Saturday's 6-5 win against St. Louis.

Advice: Tovar kicked off the scoring in the first inning with an RBI single to left field. That was just the beginning of a massive performance by the young shortstop -- he added a solo homer in the sixth and a tiebreaking two-run shot in the seventh. The four-hit game was Tovar's second of the campaign, and he finished with his second multi-homer performance of the season. Tovar is somewhat quietly enjoying a breakout 2024, slashing .294/.326/.487 with 10 homers, 28 RBI, 34 runs and four stolen bases through 282 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:05 pm
    • Steven Kwan homers, reaches four times vs. Marlins
Steven Kwan homered and reached four times in an 8-0 win for the Guardians over the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: In addition to Kwan’s homer — a two-run shot in the fifth inning — the outfielder also singled and drew a pair of walks. Keeping in mind that the 26-year-old did miss a good amount of time, he’s still putting together a sensational .371/.431/.523 slash in 151 at-bats. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:59 pm

    • Labors through scoreless frame
Kopech allowed one hit and one walk while striking out two across a scoreless ninth inning Saturday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Kopech was called upon to protect a five-run lead. He did so successfully, though he allowed three hitters to reach base -- he hit a batter in addition to the walk and hit he surrendered -- and required 33 pitches to retire the side. Though it was shaky, the outing was still positive for Kopech as he had allowed at least one run in three of his last four appearances entering Saturday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:45 pm

    • Ends power drought
Cronenworth went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run, an RBI single and an additional run scored in Saturday's 13-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Cronenworth's fourth-inning blast turned the game into a rout, and he tacked on one more RBI in the fifth. The infielder has hit well lately, going 10-for-38 (.263) with nine RBI and four extra-base hits over his last nine games, though his homer Saturday was his first since May 19. On the year, he's slashing .261/.322/.446 with nine homers, 44 RBI, 27 runs scored, 15 doubles, two triples and one stolen base over 64 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:39 pm
