    • Continues hot stretch
Adell went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Monday in a 6-5 win against the Phillies.

Advice: Adell batted out of the No. 2 spot for the first time this season and immediately made his presence felt with a solo homer in the first inning. The long ball was his second in three games, and he's knocked in five runs over that stretch. Adell has been swinging a hot bat since mid-April -- he's reached base safely in 10 straight contests and is slashing .407/.484/.815 with three home runs, eight RBI, five runs and a stolen base during that span. • Jo Adell homers from two hole in Angels’ win
Jo Adell hit his fourth homer Monday as the Angels edged the Phillies 6-5.

Advice: Adell was moved into the second spot in the lineup tonight, and while we’re not sure that’s exactly the right spot for an awful baserunner who strikes out a whole lot, it’s closer to where he belongs than where he was batting previously. Adell remains a flawed player, but he definitely seems to have made some gains again this year after also showing signs of progress last season. Whether he’s a long-term asset in mixed leagues remains to be seen, but he’s worth using right now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:21 pm

    • Runs wild again Monday
Young went 1-for-4 with two runs scored and two stolen bases in Monday's 7-2 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Both pilfers came in the fifth inning, as Young stole second then teamed up with CJ Abrams on a double steal after the shortstop drew a walk. Young's 12 stolen bases on the season are third in the majors behind Elly De La Cruz (18) and Brice Turang (13), and he's slashing .328/.368/.391 through 21 games. Victor Robles (hamstring) is set to begin a rehab assignment this week as he nears his return from the IL, but Young seems to have a firm hold on the starting job in center field for the Nationals. • Jackson Merrill not in lineup Monday vs. Reds
Jackson Merrill is not in the starting lineup for Monday’s game against the Reds.

Advice: Merrill returned to the lineup from his groin injury on Saturday and also played Sunday, so this appears to be a day of maintenance for the 21-year-old. Jose Azocar will play center and hit eighth Monday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:52 pm

    • Batting second Monday
Adell will start in right field and bat second in Monday's contest versus the Phillies.

Advice: It's Adell's seventh straight start in right field and the first time this season that he's batted higher than sixth. The 25-year-old is sporting a .327/.382/.592 batting line with three home runs and five stolen bases over his first 21 games this season and, perhaps most importantly, he's striking out at just a 23.6 percent clip. Adell came into this season with a career 35.4 percent strikeout rate at the major-league level. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:04 pm

    • Steals two more bags
Young went 3-for-5 with a double, three RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases during Sunday's 12-9 victory over the Marlins.

Advice: Young's three hits were a season high and represented his third consecutive multi-hit effort while he also stole two bags for the second-consecutive game. The young center fielder is up to 10 steals on the season, good for fifth in all of baseball despite accumulating only 60 at-bats and one walk. His average now stands at .375 with four doubles, seven RBI and 14 runs scored. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:27 pm

    • Young has three hits, two SB in win over Miami
Jacob Young with 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs scored, and two steals in a win over the Marlins on Sunday.

Advice: Young now has 10 steals and a .333/.375/.400 slash line since becoming the regular center fielder. He hits 9th in the lineup and doesn’t bring much power to the table, so it’s hard to get overly excited, but he’s a great source of speed while he’s hitting like this. If you need steals, he could be a sneaky waiver add. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:38 pm

    • Season-high three RBI in loss
Adell went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Saturday's loss to the Twins.

Advice: Adell launched a two-out, two-run homer in his first trip to the plate to bring the Angels back within two runs of Minnesota before adding an RBI single in his next at-bat, giving him a season-high three RBI in the contest. It also marked the outfielder's first three-hit performance of the campaign, and he's now tallied multiple hits in three of his last six games. Adell is batting .350 in April with three homers, nine RBI and eight runs scored. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:26 am

    • Jo Adell mashes two-run homer in loss to Twins
Jo Adell went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and three RBI on Saturday in the Angels’ lopsided defeat at the hands of the Twins.

Advice: The homer came off Twins starter Chris Paddack in the second inning of an eventual blowout loss. To his credit, Adell has displayed remarkably improved plate skills through 20 games this season, striking out just 21.6 percent of the time so far. The important caveat is that it’s still too early to make any definitive statements, but he’s clearly showing some improvement in the contact department. He’s up to three homers and five steals already and figures to continue (finally) playing everyday for Los Angeles. There’s definitely 20-homer, 20-steal upside, if his plate skills continue to improve. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:17 am
