    • Hit hard again
Steele (0-1) took the loss against the Pirates on Thursday, surrendering five runs on six hits and one walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: The Pirates tagged Steele for two runs in the top of the first on a two-run shot from Edward Olivares and proceeded to tack on runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. The lefty produced only one 1-2-3 inning on the night and allowed at least five runs for the second consecutive start. Steele is yet to make it through six innings on the campaign, though he did record a season-high seven strikeouts in Thursday's loss. Rotowire.com Today, 3:43 am
    • Impactful off bench
Stott went 1-for-2 with a walk, two RBI and a run during Thursday's 6-5 extra-innings loss to the Mets.

Advice: Stott initially was left out of the lineup against southpaw Jose Quintana -- a normal occurrence for the lefty-hitting second baseman -- but entered the game as a pinch hitter in the seventh. He walked in his first plate appearance and came around to score on a Kyle Schwarber double, drove in the game-tying run on an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth, and brought the Phillies to within one in the 11th after a fielder's choice plated Nick Castellanos. In his last eight games, Stott is batting .478 with 11 RBI and 10 runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:57 pm

    • Swats solo homer
Alonso went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run during Thursday's 6-5 win over the Phillies.

Advice: Alonso tagged Taijuan Walker (foot) for a solo shot in the first inning, putting the first baseman at 10 homers this season. He's now tied for the fourth-most home runs in the NL and owns a .772 OPS with 23 RBI and 27 runs through 164 at-bats. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:48 pm

    • Alonso goes deep Thursday
Pete Alonso went 1-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored and a solo home run against the Phillies on Thursday.

Advice: The homer was Alonso’s 10th of the season. He’s probably having his worst season of his career so far. Still, Alonso is one of the most reliable players in fantasy baseball and we’ll almost certainly still be looking at close to 40 home runs and 100 RBI from him at the end of the season.

    • Steele rocked again on Thursday
Justin Steele allowed six hits, five earned runs and two home runs in 5 2/3 innings and picked up the loss against the Pirates on Thursday.

Advice: Steele struck out seven batters, but he looked shaky for his second start in a row. His ERA increased to 5.68 in his four starts this season. Steele has 18 strikeouts and a 3.78 xFIP in 19 innings this season. The 28-year-old left-hander isn’t a lost cause, but he’s certainly a tough pitcher to start against the Braves next week.

    • Andy Pages not in Thursday’s lineup vs. Reds
Andy Pages is not in the lineup for Thursday’s series opener against the Reds.

Advice: Pages will get a night off to reset mentally after going 0-for-9 with six strikeouts over his last two games against the Giants. The 23-year-old rookie has gotten off to a nice start for the Dodgers through 26 games, but is starting to hit his first real rough patch. It’ll be interesting to see how he responds. • Day off Thursday
Pages isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Pages has struck out six times in his last nine at-bats, so the Dodgers will give him a chance to regroup Thursday. Teoscar Hernandez will shift to right field as a result, allowing Chris Taylor to pick up a start in left while batting seventh. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:14 pm

    • Bryson Stott gets a day off on Thursday
Bryson Stott is not in the Phillies’ lineup on Thursday against the Mets.

Advice: Stott has started 39 of the team’s 44 games so far this season, so this is just a routine day off. Edmundo Sosa will start at shortstop and bat eight while Whit Merrifield will play second base. Since Trea Turner went down with an injury, Merrifield has gotten a lot more playing time, but he’s hitting just .156 in 10 games in May, so there hasn’t been much to write home about. We expect Stott to be back in the lineup for the entire weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:10 pm

    • Pete Alonso hitting 2nd for Mets
Pete Alonso will hit second for the Mets on Thursday against the Phillies

Advice: This is the second straight start for Alonso in the second spot in the order, while Starling Marte moves down the sixth. Carlos Mendoza is clearly trying to jumpstart this Mets offense, and he was with the Yankees as a coach when they hit Aaron Judge second in the lineup, so perhaps he’s trying to recapture some of that magic. Alonso has just a .306 on-base percentage this year, which is the lowest of his career and his RBI opportunities will take a hit with the move out of the cleanup spot, so it’s unclear if this is a great decision. However, the big first baseman needs improve on his .756 OPS before we can worry about the impact of his spot in the lineup. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:06 pm
