    • Rejoining rotation Wednesday
Pepiot (lower leg) will be reinstated from the 15-day injured list to start Wednesday against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: The 26-year-old righty landed on the shelf with a bruised lower left leg after his May 5 start versus the Mets, but he'll return Wednesday after being sidelined for the 15-day minimum. Any workload limitations for Pepiot will likely be minor, given the brevity of his absence. Rotowire.com Today, 3:22 pm

    • Cash: Ryan Pepiot starting Wednesday vs. Red Sox
Ryan Pepiot (leg) will start on Wednesday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Pepiot will be activated to take the ball on Wednesday against Boston after landing on the injured list earlier this month with a leg bruise after being hit by a 107.5 mph comebacker. The 26-year-old righty gets a decent matchup right away against the Red Sox at pitcher-friendly Tropicana Field. Rotoworld Today, 2:42 pm

    • Shut down from throwing
Bradford (ribs) said Sunday he's been shut down from throwing since he's not recovering as quickly as expected, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The left-hander apparently wasn't experiencing any pain since recently starting up a throwing program, but his recovery also wasn't moving forward. It's unclear when Bradford is expected to restart the throwing program, and he should be considered out indefinitely until his status is updated. Rotowire.com Sunday, 12:52 pm

    • Successful bullpen session
Pepiot (leg) threw a three-inning bullpen session ahead of Friday's game against the Blue Jays, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Pepiot continues to make progress toward a return, as he's now thrown three successful bullpen sessions. His activation could come as soon as the Rays' upcoming series against the Red Sox, though no final decision has been reached. Rotowire.com Sunday, 12:06 am

    • Stuck with loss Saturday
Cano (2-2) allowed two runs on two hits in one-third of an inning to take the loss Saturday versus the Mariners.

Advice: Cano allowed the first two batters to reach base in the eighth inning, giving up one run in the process. Cionel Perez also allowed an inherited runner to score, and the Orioles couldn't overcome the deficit. This is the first time Cano has given up multiple earned runs in an appearance all season, and just the second time he's given up more than one run of any kind. He's now at a 2.95 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 18:9 K:BB while adding two saves and 10 holds over 21.1 innings. The late-inning mix in Baltimore remains in flux, and Cano isn't doing himself any favors with three runs allowed over his last 1.1 innings across three appearances. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:19 pm
    • Pitches around trouble for save
McArthur allowed two hits and struck out two without walking a batter in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Athletics.

Advice: McArthur allowed back-to-back singles to begin the ninth inning, but he retired the next three batters to secure his 11th save of the year. He's allowed multiple baserunners in four of his last six outings, but he's converted his last four save chances. McArthur is at a 4.35 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 23:3 K:BB through 20.2 innings this season. • Blows save, takes loss Saturday
Finnegan (1-3) took the loss and blew a save against the Phillies on Saturday, allowing two runs (one earned) on one hit and one walk over 1.2 innings.

Advice: Finnegan was called upon to protect a one-run lead in the bottom of the ninth inning and got two outs before serving up a game-tying solo homer to Kody Clemens. The contest went into an extra frame, and after Washington failed to score in the top of the 10th, Finnegan was tagged with the loss when Bryce Harper plated the automatic runner on a sacrifice fly. The blown save was just the second for Finnegan this year, with the other coming all the way back on March 31. The right-hander has been one of the best closers in the league this season with 13 saves along with a 1.89 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 17:9 K:BB over 19 frames. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:55 pm
    • McArthur picks up 11th save Saturday
James McArthur allowed two hits, struck out two and picked up his 11th save against the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: McArthur allowed back-to-back singles to start the ninth inning before getting Abraham Toro to line out and striking out JJ Bleday. He then struck out Brent Rooker with the game on the line. McArthur’s ERA is 4.35, but he continues to rack up the saves for Royals and fantasy managers. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:56 pm
    • Finnegan blows save against the Phillies
Kyle Finnegan blew his second save of the season against the Phillies on Saturday.

Advice: Finnegan had two outs in the bottom of the ninth when he allowed a game-tying solo home run to Kody Clemens. Finnegan took the loss as he allowed another run on a game-winning sacrifice fly by Bryce Harper in the 10th inning. He entered play Saturday leading the league with 13 saves, but he was probably due to give up some runs as his ERA is 1.89 but his xFIP is significantly higher at 3.72.
