    • Will Smith goes 3-for-4, hits three-run homer
Will Smith went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer and a walk Tuesday as the Dodgers crushed the Rangers 14-2.

Advice: Smith started the game off right, hitting his homer in the bottom of the first. He later settled for a measly single when the Dodgers exploded for four homers and seven runs against Grant Anderson in the sixth inning; Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, Teoscar Hernández and Jason Heyward all went deep then. Smith is batting .296/.364/.509 with 10 homers, and he should be an easy choice to go to a second All-Star Game this summer. Rotoworld Tuesday, 11:24 pm
    • Emmanuel Clase locks down 20th save of the season
Emmanuel Clase allowed one run on two hits in the ninth inning but was able to close the door on a 5-3 win over the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: It was an uncharacteristically chaotic inning for Clase who allowed two singles and hit a batter while allowing one run to balloon his ERA to 0.84 on the season. He did strike out two en route to his 20th save on the season. He remains perhaps the best closer in fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:42 pm
    • Records two hits in return
Machado went 2-for-4 in Monday's 6-1 win against Oakland.

Advice: Machado missed four games due to a strained right hip flexor before returning to the lineup as the Padres' designated hitter Monday. He singled in his first at-bat and reached third base on an ensuing single and walk. Machado notched another single in the seventh and again reached third on a pair of singles before being pulled for a pinch runner, though that decision didn't appear to be related to a worsening of the hip issue. It's unclear when Machado may be asked to play the field again. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:02 am
    • Chourio hits seventh home run Monday
Jackson Chourio went 1-for-2 with a walk and a home run against the Blue Jays on Monday.

Advice: A top prospect who signed a big extension before the season, Chourio is hitting .220 with a .626 OPS and 22 RBI this year. He hit .283 with 22 home runs and 44 stolen bases in 128 games in the minor leagues last year so he’s still worth leaving the light on for. The Brewers continue to give him regular playing time, but that could change given their place atop the division standings as they look towards the playoffs. Rotoworld Monday, 7:41 pm

    • Manny Machado (hip) rejoins Padres lineup as DH
Manny Machado is in the lineup as a DH for Monday’s game against the A’s.

Advice: Machado missed four starts after hurting his hip Wednesday. He’s batting fifth tonight, with Jurickson Profar remaining in the third spot. Machado has moved around the middle of the Padres lineup some this season, but he did hit third in the three games preceding his injury. Rotoworld Monday, 2:45 pm
    • Returning to lineup Monday
Padres manager Mike Shildt said in an interview on MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM that Machado (hip) will be back in the lineup Monday versus the Athletics as the team's designated hitter.

Advice: Machado was held out of the lineup for the previous four games due to a strained right hip flexor, although he was able to pinch hit once over that stretch. He will be eased back into the mix Monday as the club's DH, with a return to third base coming "hopefully sooner than later," per Shildt. Rotowire.com Monday, 12:04 pm
    • Slugs ninth homer
Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Guardians.

Advice: The center fielder took Carlos Carrasco deep to lead off the fourth inning and get the Marlins on the board. Chisholm isn't making consistent contact, but he's on pace for career highs in the counting stats, and over the last 12 games he's slashing .250/.284/.469 with three of his nine homers and three of his 12 steals on the season. • Swipes eighth bag
Springer went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's extra-inning win over the A's.

Advice: The veteran outfielder stole his eighth bag of the year but his first since May 15, snapping a 19-game drought on the basepaths. Springer is showing signs of life at the plate as well -- over his last 12 games, he's slashing .268/.400/.439 with two homers, four RBI and 11 runs. He's been consistently hitting lower in the order during that stretch, anywhere from fifth to seventh, and with rookie Spencer Horwitz currently getting a look as a table-setter, Springer likely won't return to a more prominent spot in the lineup any time soon. • Strong rehab start
Scherzer (back/arm) allowed one hit and one walk while striking out five over four scoreless innings in a rehab start for Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday.

Advice: Scherzer restarted a rehab assignment after experiencing a setback late in April. He cruised through 53 pitches (37 strikes), induced 14 whiffs, and registered a fastball velocity of 94.8 mph, per Kennedi Landry of MLB.com. Rotowire.com Monday, 6:29 am
