    • Adds another steal
Ramirez went 1-for-4 with one RBI, a walk, a stolen base and one run scored in Saturday's 4-2 extra-innings win over Atlanta.

Advice: Ramirez didn't run much early in the campaign, but he's gotten back to it with all four of his steals this year coming over the last eight games. He's gone 9-for-32 (.281) in that span while adding nine RBI and four extra-base hits. Overall, the star third baseman is doing fine with a .259/.276/.455 slash line, five home runs, 24 RBI and 19 runs scored over 116 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 12:05 am
    • Jason Foley escapes ninth inning with eighth save
Jason Foley walked the tightrope in the ninth inning against the Royals on Saturday, escaping with a one-run lead intact to earn his eighth save of the season.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander came on with a three-run advantage, but the Royals nudged closer as they put three hits together to score a pair of runs and put the tying run on base. He rallied back though to get Vinnie Pasquantino on a fly ball to center to end the ballgame. On the season, Foley now holds a 1.50 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and an 11/6 K/BB ratio across 12 innings on the season to go along with eight saves and two victories. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:14 pm
    • Records second win
Doval (2-0) allowed two hits and a walk while striking out one over a scoreless inning to earn the win Friday over the Pirates.

Advice: Doval walked the tightrope in the top of the ninth inning Friday, loading the bases with one out before inducing a double play to escape the jam while keeping the game scoreless. Patrick Bailey then delivered a walk-off three-run home run to give Doval and the Giants the win. Doval has kept runs off the board in seven of his nine appearances this season, earning four saves with a 3.12 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 13:5 K:BB over 8.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:01 am
    • Vaughn Grissom likely to return Tuesday vs. Giants
Vaughn Grissom (hamstring) is likely to make his Red Sox debut on Tuesday against the Giants.

Advice: Grissom is slated to play in a pair of rehab contests this weekend for Triple-A Worcester before joining the Red Sox at Fenway Park for Tuesday’s series opener against San Francisco. The 23-year-old has been out since spring training due to groin and hamstring issues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:37 am

    • George Springer gets rare day off Saturday
George Springer is not in the lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Dodgers.

Advice: It’s a rare day off for Springer, who has started seven consecutive contests since April 20. The 34-year-old veteran outfielder has been in Toronto’s lineup for all but two of their contests this season. It’ll be Bo Bichette in the leadoff spot and rookie Addison Barger drawing a start in right field as the Blue Jays face Dodgers ace Tyler Glasnow at the Rogers Centre. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:32 am
    • Sitting Saturday
Springer is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Springer has gone 7-for-28 with two doubles and a solo home run since his last day off April 19. Addison Barger will make his third major-league start in right field Saturday and bat ninth against Dodgers right-hander Tyler Glasnow. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:26 am
    • Another strong outing
Sale (3-1) picked up the win Friday, allowing one run on two hits and a walk over seven innings in a 6-2 victory over the Guardians. He struck out six.

Advice: The veteran lefty has been healthy and dominant to kick off 2024, and he completely shut down the Cleveland offense after serving up a leadoff homer to Steven Kwan. Sale has worked seven-plus innings in three straight starts for the first time since June 2018, and he's allowed three runs or less in four of his five outings so far for Atlanta. Sale will take a 3.69 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 33:7 K:BB through 31.2 innings into his next start, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in Seattle. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:39 am

    • Struggles against Brewers
Gil surrendered five earned runs on six hits and two walks while striking out six batters across five innings during Friday's loss to Milwaukee. He didn't factor into the decision.

Advice: Though he was able to limit his struggles with walking batters, Gil's five runs and six hits allowed represented season highs for the 25-year-old, who now owns a 4.01 ERA and 1.34 WHIP through five starts. He's lined up to face another high-octane offense in Baltimore on Wednesday, and he could be at risk of getting hit around again if his command doesn't improve. • Homer, four hits in win
Smith went 4-for-5 with a home run, a double and three total RBI in Friday's 12-2 victory over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Smith slugged a solo home run off Trevor Richards in the fourth inning, his second long ball of the year. It's Smith's second straight four-hit game (he's gone 8-for-11 with three extra-base hits in that span) and already his fourth this season. The 29-year-old backstop is off to an excellent start, slashing a robust .376/.413/.527 with 21 RBI and 14 runs scored through his first 104 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:25 pm
