    • Tobias Myers strikes out six in no-decision
Tobias Myers allowed one run over four innings on Thursday in a no-decision against the Cardinals.

Advice: Myers was a bit all over the place in this one as he racked up six strikeouts, issued four walks, and needed 84 pitches (50 strikes) to complete four frames. A third-inning solo shot by Lars Nootbaar represented the lone tally against him, but he wasn’t able to get deep enough into the contest to pick up a win. He’ll bring an inflated 5.29 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 17/9 K/BB ratio across 17 innings (four starts) into a home outing on Tuesday against the Pirates. Rotoworld 5 minutes ago

    • Sonny Gray coughs up three homers in loss to Brewers
Sonny Gray was torched for six runs over five innings on Thursday in a loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Gray was tagged for a season-high three round-trippers in this one after allowing just one long ball in his previous five starts combined. The dismal outing also snapped a five-start streak in which he allowed two earned runs or fewer to kick off his Cardinals debut. The only positives here were that he struck out six and only issued one walk. He’ll carry a pristine 2.29 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 44/6 K/BB ratio across 35 1/3 innings (six starts) into a favorable road tilt on Tuesday against the Angels. Rotoworld 5 minutes ago

    • Michael Kopech collects four-out save on Thursday
Michael Kopech notched a four-out save on Thursday against the Guardians.

Advice: Kopech was called upon to record the final out of the eighth inning after John Brebbia served up back-to-back two-out homers and then came back out to work a scoreless final frame. It was his fourth save of the season and third consecutive scoreless outing since May 4. The 28-year-old former starter boasts a solid 3.66 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 26/10 K/BB ratio across 19 2/3 innings (17 appearances). Rotoworld 22 minutes ago

    • Erick Fedde hurls six scoreless to beat Guardians
Erick Fedde struck out three over six shutout innings on Thursday in a win over the Guardians.

Advice: Fedde scattered six hits over six strong frames and got more than enough run support from Chicago’s lineup to pick up his third win of the year. It was a nice bounce-back effort after walking five batters and allowing five runs his last time out against the Cardinals. He’ll bring a solid 3.00 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 44/14 K/BB ratio across 45 innings (eight starts) into a home outing on Tuesday against the Nationals. Rotoworld 22 minutes ago

    • Ben Lively goes 5 2/3 frames in loss to White Sox
Ben Lively allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings on Thursday in a loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Lively got into trouble right away as Andrew Vaughn, Paul DeJong and Tommy Pham got to him for run-scoring hits in the first two frames, which was more than enough to saddle him with a loss. He struck out two and also issued three walks. The 32-year-old journeyman has been an unexpected bright spot for Cleveland this season, registering a sparkling 2.63 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 26/9 K/BB ratio across 27 1/3 innings (five starts). He’ll face the defending World Series champion Rangers on Tuesday in his next outing. Rotoworld 23 minutes ago

    • Ronel Blanco goes 5 2/3 frames to beat Yankees
Ronel Blanco allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings on Thursday in a win over the Yankees.

Advice: Blanco generated 13 swinging strikes, and finished with five strikeouts, but also battled control issues throghout this one, handing out four free passes as well. He managed to limit New York’s formidable lineup to just a two-run homer by Anthony Volpe into the middle innings, which was enough to hang on for his fourth win of the year. He’ll carry a sparkling 2.23 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 41/20 K/BB ratio across 44 1/3 innings (seven starts) into an extremely favorable matchup on Tuesday against the Athletics. Rotoworld Today, 5:04 pm

    • Marcus Stroman serves up two homers in loss
Marcus Stroman was tagged for four runs over 5 2/3 innings on Thursday in a loss to the Astros.

Advice: Stroman coughed up a pair of first-inning homers and also served up a run-scoring single to Jeremy Peña in the fifth inning, which was enough to saddle him with a loss in a low-scoring affair at Yankee Stadium. He struck out five and also issued a pair of walks. He’ll bring a serviceable 3.80 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 40/22 K/BB ratio across 42 2/3 innings (eight starts) into a road matchup on Wednesday against the Twins. Rotoworld Today, 5:04 pm

    • Struggles with command vs. Arizona
Greene did not factor into the decision Thursday against the Diamondbacks, allowing three runs on four hits and five walks over five innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Greene's final line ultimately could've looked a lot worse after he issued a season-high five walks. The 24-year-old Greene has given up nine free passes over his last two starts (10.2 innings), though he's managed to hold opponents to just three runs in that span. Overall, he's 1-2 on the season with a 1.24 WHIP and 53:21 K:BB through eight starts (45.1 innings). Greene's currently slated for a rematch with the Diamondbacks on the road in his next outing. • A’s asking price ‘steep’ in Mason Miller talks
The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal reports the Athletics’s asking price for flame-throwing closer Mason Miller is steep.

Advice: Rosenthal adds that a team source indicates no team has come close to meeting Oakland’s astronomical asking price. The 25-year-old starter-turned-closer has been phenomenal this season, with a microscopic 1.10 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 33/4 K/BB ratio across 16 1/3 innings (13 appearances). It’s entirely possible that no team will come close to coughing up enough prospect capital to make a deal happen, but Miller figures to be at the epicenter of rumors leading up to the trade deadline later this summer.
