    • Zack Littell beats Yankees to improve to 2-2
Zack Littell picked up his second victory of the season on Saturday, limiting the Yankees to two runs on four hits over 5 2/3 frames.

Advice: The right-hander struck out three batters on the afternoon while issuing a pair of walks. All of the damage done against him came in the second inning, as Anthony Volpe smacked a two-out, two-run single with the bases loaded. Littell settled in beautifully afterwards, allowing his offense to battle back. He got eight swings and misses on 80 at-bats on the afternoon, registering a CSW of 25 percent. Now 2-2 on the season, he’ll tote a 3.02 ERA and 1.28 WHIP into Thursday’s battle against the Red Sox. Rotoworld Today, 4:27 pm

    • Simeon Woods Richardson allows five in no-decision
Simeon Woods Richardson was charged for five runs while going 4 1/3 innings and not factoring into the decision against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Woods Richardson gave up eight hits while only striking out two. The right-hander was staked a 7-1 lead, but like his counterpart Kevin Gausman, he was unable to pitch effectively before exiting early. It’s disappointing considering how well Woods Richardson pitched against Seattle, but inconsistency is likely going to follow the 23-year-old for the foreseeable future. He’ll have a chance to rebound against the Guardians on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 3:19 pm
    • Has BP session Saturday
Cole (elbow) threw 29 pitches in his bullpen session Saturday, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Cole noted that he had a "pretty good" bullpen session, with 13 of his 29 pitches being breaking balls and his velocity topping at 89 MPH. He is set to stay in Tampa Bay and throw another bullpen early in the coming week. Rotowire.com Today, 10:51 am

    • Gets breather Saturday
Stanton is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Rays, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

Advice: Stanton went 2-for-4 in the series opener Friday. Trent Grisham will start in center field Friday while Aaron Judge shifts to DH against Rays right-hander Zack Littell. Rotowire.com Today, 10:36 am
    • Gerrit Cole (elbow) continues throwing program
Gerrit Cole (elbow) threw a 29-pitch bullpen session on Saturday at Tropicana Field.

Advice: Cole progressed to throwing bullpen sessions earlier this month and figures to be getting close to facing hitters again. The 33-year-old fantasy ace is targeting a mid-June return to New York’s starting rotation, but no official timetable has been provided by the organization yet. Rotoworld Today, 10:10 am

    • Starting at DH on Saturday
Grissom will be the designated hitter and bat fifth in Saturday's game against the Nationals, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

Advice: With Grissom shifting to DH on Saturday, David Hamilton will start at second base. Since making his major-league debut May 3, Grissom is 3-for-21 with one double and two RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 9:46 am

    • Max Scherzer (thumb) receives cortisone injection
Max Scherzer received a cortisone injection in his right thumb on Wednesday.

Advice: Scherzer underwent additional testing earlier this week that revealed his thumb issue to be nerve-related, not structural. It’s an encouraging development that he’s reportedly experiencing significant improvement following the additional treatment. The 39-year-old righty was able to resume playing catch on Friday without any issues. He’ll presumably need a couple rehab outings before making it back to the Rangers’ starting rotation mix. • Davis Schneider leading off again for Blue Jays
George Springer (illness) remains absent from the lineup for Saturday’s contest against the Twins.

Advice: It’s Davis Schneider in the leadoff spot for the second straight contest with Springer out of the lineup due to a viral illness. Blue Jays manager John Schneider was noncommittal when it came to Springer, who has struggled to a .574 OPS through 35 games, reclaiming the leadoff role once he’s healthy. It’s a significant development for fantasy managers rostering Schneider, who boasts a robust .378 on-base percentage this season in 98 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 9:04 am

    • Not starting Saturday
Springer (illness) is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Twins.

Advice: Springer will miss his second straight game due to an illness. Davis Schneider will once again hit in the lead-off spot and start in left field Saturday. Rotowire.com Today, 8:43 am
