    • Does enough for third win
McKenzie (3-3) picked up the win Tuesday, giving up two runs on four hits and two walks over 5.1 innings in a 5-3 victory over the Reds. He struck out four.

Advice: The right-hander got a quick hook after 75 pitches (43 strikes) with the Guardians ahead 3-2, but the bullpen and offense were able to secure McKenzie's first win since April 19. He's failed to complete six innings in any of his last four trips to the mound, but on the bright side, he kept the ball in the yard Tuesday after serving up eight homers over his three prior outings. McKenzie will take a 4.10 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 65:38 K:BB through 68 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Mariners. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:30 am
    • No-decision versus Padres
Sears allowed three runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out one over five innings in a no-decision versus the Padres on Tuesday.

Advice: Sears was in line for the loss after fading and allowing all three runs in the fifth inning, but Tyler Soderstrom tied the game in the eighth for the Athletics. This was Sears' first no-decision since May 14 -- he went 1-3 while allowing 11 runs (10 earned) over 23.1 innings across his previous four starts. The southpaw has a 4.02 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 54:24 K:BB through 78.1 innings this season. He's projected to make his next start at Minnesota. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:07 pm

    • JP Sears gives up three runs to Padres
JP Sears surrendered three runs and seven hits in five innings Tuesday in a no-decision against the Padres.

Advice: Sears hasn’t been all that bad with his 4.02 ERA, but we liked the 2023 version better. He finished with just one strikeout tonight, the fourth time in 14 starts this year that that has happened, and he walked three. Last year, he had more strikeouts than walks in 30 of his 32 starts. This year, he’s 9-for-14. Rotoworld Tuesday, 10:23 pm

    • Triston McKenzie claws out a win over the Reds
Triston McKenzie allowed two runs on four hits in 5 1/3 innings in a win over the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: The lanky right-hander allowed two extra-base hits and five hard-hit baseballs while striking out four and walking two. He induced just five whiffs on 31 swings for a 16 percent whiff rate and 23 percent CSW on the night. McKenzie had allowed 12 earned runs over 15 1/3 innings in his last three starts, so this was a much better performance, but he’s clearly not healthy and is not missing bats consistently which makes him risky for fantasy leagues. He currently lines up for a two-start week against the Mariners and Blue Jays next week. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:32 pm
    • Blanks Atlanta
Suarez (3-0) earned the win Tuesday against Atlanta, allowing four hits and three walks over 5.1 scoreless innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Suarez continues to impress as a starter in Baltimore -- he's made four straight starts, allowing just three runs over 19.1 innings. The 34-year-old Suarez, who last pitched in 2017 prior to this season, now has a 1.61 ERA with a 1.05 WHIP and 37:14 K:BB across 44.2 innings. Suarez figures to stick in the rotation until Dean Kremer (triceps) is able to return. He's currently lined up for a road matchup with the Yankees in his next start. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 7:07 pm

    • Albert Suárez tosses 5 1/3 scoreless to beat Braves
Albert Suárez struck out four over 5 1/3 scoreless innings on Tuesday in a win over the Braves.

Advice: Suarez was lifted from the contest after giving up back-ti-back one-out singles to open the sixth inning, but reliever Jacob Webb was able to put out the fire and preserve the shutout. He managed to scatter four hits and three walks in his longest scoreless outing since his season debut back on April 22 against the Angels. The 34-year-old journeyman has been an unexpected revelation this season for the Orioles and will bring a pristine 1.61 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 37/14 K/BB ratio across 44 2/3 innings (14 appearances, seven starts) into a challenging road matchup next Tuesday against the Yankees. • Bobby Miller to make rehab start Thursday at AAA
Bobby Miller will make another minor league rehab start on Thursday for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters that Miller will return to Los Angeles if he gets through this latest rehab outing without any issues. The 25-year-old righty has been on the shelf since mid-April due to right shoulder inflammation, but it sounds like he’s really close to making it back. Rotoworld Tuesday, 5:12 pm

    • Geared up for another rehab start
Miller (shoulder) will make another rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Miller was effective in his last outing with Oklahoma City, pitching four innings, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out two batters Friday. Manager Dave Roberts said that if all goes well Thursday, it'll be Miller's final appearance of his rehab assignment before he'll return to the major-league roster. The 25-year-old has been on the 15-day injured list since April 13 due to right shoulder inflammation, but Miller now appears to be on the doorstep of making his return after two months on the shelf. • Pitches well in no-decision
Arrighetti allowed one run on four hits and three walks while striking out six batters over 5.2 innings in a no-decision against San Francisco on Monday.

Advice: Arrighetti held the Giants scoreless through five frames and retired the first two batters he faced in the sixth before a walk and a run-scoring triple ended his outing. He fell just short of a quality start but nonetheless impressed in a battle with Giants rookie Kyle Harrison. Arrighetti did struggle a bit with his control again -- he's walked exactly three batters in each of his past four contests and is fifth-worst among qualified starters with a 12.1 percent walk rate on the campaign. The right-hander has put up respectable overall numbers of late, though, posting a 3.19 ERA and 36:16 K:BB over 31 innings across his past six starts. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:27 pm
