    • Struggles versus Blue Jays
Nastrini (0-3) allowed nine runs (eight earned) on seven hits and six walks while failing to record a strikeout over 3.1 innings, taking the loss Wednesday versus the Blue Jays.

Advice: It was a second poor outing in three appearances this season for the rookie right-hander. He did fine in the first inning, but the Blue Jays struck back hard in the second and added two more runs to his line in the fourth. Nastrini has an 11.91 ERA, 2.56 WHIP and 8:13 K:BB over 11.1 innings this season. It's possible the White Sox try to let Nastrini learn on the job in the majors now that Brad Keller has elected free agency after being designated for assignment Sunday. If Nastrini gets another start, it's projected to be a rematch versus the Blue Jays in Chicago. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:03 pm
    • Shipped to Baltimore
The Mariners traded Hunt to the Orioles on Wednesday in exchange for Mike Baumann and Michael Perez.

Advice: Hunt has spent all season in Triple-A, slashing .293/.372/.533 with four homers and 20 RBI across 86 plate appearances. The 25-year-old backstop has yet to make his MLB debut, though it's possible he gets the chance to do so in Baltimore if the O's decide to replace James McCann with Hunt as Adley Rutschman's backup. • Sent to Seattle
The Orioles traded Baumann and Michael Perez to the Mariners on Wednesday in exchange for Blake Hunt.

Advice: The 28-year-old righty was squeezed off the Orioles' 40-man roster Saturday to make room for Grayson Rodriguez, and Baumann will now find a new home in the Mariners' bullpen. He sports a 3.44 ERA and 1.47 WHIP alongside a 16:9 K:BB through 18.1 frames and should settle in as a middle reliever. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:47 pm

    • Mariners acquire Mike Baumann from Orioles
Mariners acquired RHP Mike Baumann and C Michael Perez from the Orioles for C Blake Hunt.

Advice: Baumann had been designated for assignment by the Orioles on Saturday when they needed to free up a spot on their 40-man roster. Now, he’ll head to Seattle where he’ll function as extra bullpen depth for the Mariners. The 28-year-old hurler posted a 3.44 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and a 16/9 K/BB ratio over 18 1/3 innings in 17 appearances with the O’s this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:45 pm

    • Swats three-run homer
Sosa went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run during Wednesday's 11-4 win over the Rangers.

Advice: The shortstop tagged Jonathan Hernandez for a round-tripper in the fourth inning, plating Nick Castellanos and Brandon Marsh. The long ball was Sosa's second of the campaign and his first in 51 at-bats, dating back to April 7. Since Trea Turner (hamstring) was placed on the injured list May 4, Sosa is 11-for-37 (.297) with 12 runs and nine RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:33 pm

    • Nick Nastrini blasted for nine runs in loss to Jays
Nick Nastrini allowed nine runs over 3 1/3 innings in a loss to the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

Advice: The Blue Jays were all over Nastrini on Wednesday, and Chicago let the rookie right-hander go as long as they could. After a scoreless first inning, Nastrini surrendered seven runs in the second, including a two-run homer by Bo Bichette. Two walks and a base hit in the fourth brought two more runs across. Nastrini walked one more batter before he was finally relieved with one out. Another start in the rotation would come next week against the same Blue Jays in Chicago. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:11 pm
    • Adam Duvall goes yard in win over Cubs
Adam Duvall went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Advice: Duvall put the Braves on the board with a two-run blast off Justin Steele in the third inning. He was later hit by a pitch in the seventh and scored on a sacrifice fly by Ozzie Albies. The 35-year-old outfielder has generally been limited to starts against left-handed pitching. He’s slashing .208/.310/.361 with three homers and 10 RBI across 84 plate appearances. • LaMonte Wade Jr. reaches six times in victory
LaMonte Wade Jr. had an impressive night at the dish in Wednesday’s victory over the Pirates, going 3-for-3 with three singles, three walks, a pair of runs scored and an RBI.

Advice: The 30-year-old outfielder led off the sixth inning with a single and rode home on Matt Chapman’s two-run blast. He then delivered the biggest hit of the game, smacking a game-tying two-out RBI single off of Colin Holderman in the ninth inning. With his three-hit attack, Wade is now hitting .336/.484/.431 with a pair of homers, 16 RBI and a stolen base. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:06 pm
    • Ben Brown set to start for Cubs on Thursday
Ben Brown will start for the Cubs on Thursday against the Braves.

Advice: The Cubs needed to fill the rotation spot that was vacated when Kyle Hendricks was moved to the bullpen. The 24-year-old right-hander has pitched well in both roles for the Cubs this season, registering a 3.57 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and a 39/13 K/BB ratio (35 1/3 innings) over 11 appearances (four starts). Streamers beware though, he hasn’t thrown more than 42 pitches in an outing since May 2 and may not work deep enough into Thursday’s game to earn a victory. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:03 pm
