    • Clubs first homer in loss
Brujan went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 8-3 loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Brujan got the scoring started in this one with a leadoff blast off Taijuan Walker in the bottom of the fifth inning. It was his first home run as a Marlin and just his fourth in 130 major-league games. Brujan also singled and was caught stealing, and added an additional run after reaching on a fielder's choice. The 26-year-old has become an everyday player for the Marlins over the last two weeks, starting 13 of the last 15 contests. His production has slowed in May, but Brujan has shown enough since getting regular reps to make him a viable deep-league option. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:26 pm

    • Sits against lefty
Massey is not in Saturday's lineup against the Angels.

Advice: He'll sit against lefty Tyler Anderson, with Garrett Hampson getting the nod at the keystone. Massey is hitting .273 with two home runs and two doubles in nine games this month. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:35 pm
    • Davis Schneider homers, picks up three hits vs. MIN
Davis Schneider went 3-for-4 with a homer, three runs scored and two RBI in a win over the Twins on Saturday.

Advice: Schneider once again hit in the leadoff spot, and he looked comfortable doing it. The 25-year-old also stole his second base of the season, while the homer is the fourth of the season. George Springer (illness) did appear late in the game as a pinch-hitter, but considering how good Schneider has been and Springer, well, hasn’t, there’s a chance that Schneider remains at the top of the lineup for the foreseeable future. • Not starting Saturday
Freeman is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: Freeman broke a three-game hitless streak during Friday's 6-3 loss when he swatted a solo home run, his first since April 19. Ramon Laureano will start in center field Saturday and bat sixth against White Sox right-hander Mike Clevinger. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:04 pm

    • Optioned to Triple-A
Fermin was optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Saturday.

Advice: The 25-year-old infielder hit .200 across 18 MLB plate appearances with zero home runs and one steal. Fermin logged a .350/.458/.650 slash line with four home runs, five steals and a 3:11 K:BB in 18 games at Triple-A earlier this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:25 pm

    • Back in majors
Wisely was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday.

Advice: The 25-year-old utilityman slashed .311/.403/.487 with four home runs, three steals and a 21:19 K:BB in 140 plate appearances in the Pacific Coast League. Wisely primarily played second base and center field at Triple-A while also picking up a couple starts at shortstop. The lefty hitter will be available off the bench while the Giants face off against southpaw Nick Lodolo on Saturday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:09 pm

    • Cardinals option José Fermín to Triple-A
Cardinals optioned INF José Fermín to Triple-A Memphis.

Advice: Fermín has been shipped back to the minors with veteran Matt Carpenter returning from the injured list for Saturday’s game against the Brewers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:06 pm

    • Giants recall Brett Wisely on Saturday
Giants recalled INF/OF Brett Wisely from Triple-A Sacramento.

Advice: Wisely provides San Francisco with some extra bench depth heading into Saturday’s contest against the Reds with veteran Austin Slater landing on the concussion injured list. The 25-year-old got into 51 contests last year for the Giants, but has spent all of this season back at Triple-A Sacramento. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:56 am

    • Recalled from Triple-A
Williams was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis prior to Saturday's game against the Cubs, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Advice: Ke'Bryan Hayes was placed on the injured list with a back issue, so Williams could see some reps in the infield in the short term. Williams was optioned Friday and never actually got into a Triple-A game. He has a .239/.271/.348 slash line with zero home runs and one steal in 51 plate appearances in the majors.
