    • Optioned to Triple-A
The Athletics optioned Basso to Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday.

Advice: Basso has made two scoreless relief appearances for the Athletics this season. The left-hander has been used as a starter during his time with Las Vegas and will likely get stretched back out in its rotation. Rotowire.com Today, 6:49 am

    • Gets walked off
Rodriguez (1-1) allowed two runs on two hits and struck out one in one-third of an inning, taking the loss Monday versus the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Rodriguez served up a walk-off two-run blast to Pavin Smith in the ninth inning. After looking steady in the second half of May, Rodriguez has faltered by allowing four runs over his last 2.1 innings across three appearances. He's at a 3.57 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 23:7 K:BB over 17.2 innings while seeing most of his work in low-leverage spots, Monday's outing being a rare exception. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:47 pm
    • Ryne Nelson works into eighth versus Giants
Ryne Nelson threw 7 2/3 innings and held the Giants to two runs in a no-decision Monday.

Advice: The Diamondbacks didn’t win this one until the bottom of the ninth, so Ryan Thompson was credited with the victory. Nelson’s fine outing came with just one strikeout. He allowed 11 hard-hit balls, including seven pummeled at least 103 mph, but he came away giving up just six hits in lowering his ERA to 5.44. He’ll face the Padres next. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:49 pm
    • Matt Waldron works into seventh in no-decision
Matt Waldron went without a decision while allowing one run and two hits in 6 1/3 innings Monday against the Angels.

Advice: Waldron was back down to 33% usage of the knuckler tonight after utilizing the pitch a career-high 55% of the time last time out. He was plenty effective, but he might have been even more so with more knuckler usage, considering that all seven hard-hit balls he allowed came on other pitches. The no-decision kept him 3-5 with a 3.98 ERA. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:19 pm
    • Fires 7.2 innings Monday
Nelson allowed two runs on six hits over 7.2 innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out one during the win over the Giants.

Advice: Nelson gave up one run through six innings before Heliot Ramos knocked a solo shot in the seventh. It was Nelson's longest start of the year and his first time finishing more than six innings. He needed only 80 pitches to do so, but his one strikeout and four whiffs weren't very impressive. Nelson dropped his ERA to 5.44 with a 32:13 K:BB through 48 innings. His next start is projected to be in San Diego. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:09 pm
    • Delivers quality start
Waldron gave up a run on two hits over 6.1 innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out four during the loss to the Angels.

Advice: Waldron turned in a second straight quality start Monday, allowing only one run in the fourth inning. He's given up two or fewer runs in five consecutive outings but has finished at least six innings just twice in that span. Still, his ERA has fallen from 5.82 to 3.98 during this run. Waldron has produced a 64:19 K:BB through 63.1 innings and hasn't allowed a long ball since May 11. He's currently in line to face Arizona at home this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:57 pm
    • Feltner shelled in loss Monday
Ryan Feltner allowed eight runs in 4 1/3 innings and took the loss against the Red on Monday.

Advice: Felter gave up 10 hits, walked none and struck out three. He’s made seven starts on the road compared to just five at Coors Field, but he has an ERA over 5.00 no matter where he pitches. On a last place Rockies team, that’s translated to only one win for Feltner. He’s off the fantasy radar. The 27-year-old right-hander will face the Cardinals on the road this weekend. • Crushed by Reds
Feltner (1-5) yielded eight runs on 10 hits over 4.1 innings Monday, striking out three and taking a loss against the Reds.

Advice: Feltner began his start with a scoreless first inning, but that was the only positive in what became a long night for Colorado's pitching staff. The Reds piled eight runs on Feltner, including back-to-back three-run innings in the second and third. He was knocked from the game after 4.1 frames for the second straight start and saw his ERA jump to 6.22 through 63.2 innings. Since the start of May, he's given up at least five runs in four of his six starts. Feltner's next outing is projected to be in St. Louis. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:30 pm

    • Opening again Tuesday
Koenig is expected to serve as the Brewers' opening pitcher for Tuesday's game against the Phillies, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: Koenig experienced success while opening a game for the third time this season in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Phillies. He needed just five pitches to retire the side in the bottom of the first inning before he turned the game over to bulk reliever Bryse Wilson. The Brewers will likely call on Koenig again Tuesday with the hope that he can get through the top three batters in Philadelphia's lineup before he hands the ball to bulk reliever Colin Rea.
