      Advice: Tucker will get the day off after fouling a ball off his right shin Monday night. While X-rays came back negative and manager Joe Espada said Tucker is "feeling better," the outfielder will continue to have his leg examined to ensure that he's merely dealing with a bruise.       The Red Sox placed Abreu on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a right ankle sprain, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

      Advice: Per Alex Speier of The Boston Globe, Abreu is hoping to return in the minimum 10 days after he sprained his ankle in the Red Sox's dugout during Sunday's game against the Tigers. Bobby Dalbec drew the start in Abreu's usual spot in right field Tuesday, but one of Rob Refsnyder and Tyler O'Neill (knee) should serve as the primary option at the position once O'Neill returns from the IL later this week.       Manager Alex Cora said Tuesday that Abreu (ankle) will be placed on the injured list, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

      Advice: Abreu twisted his right ankle in the dugout during Sunday's game and the injury seems to be severe enough to warrant a significant absence, although exactly how long Abreu will be out remains to be seen.       Red Sox placed OF Wilyer Abreu on the 10-day injured list with an ankle sprain.

      Advice: Abreu hurt his ankle during Sunday’s loss after sliding down the dugout steps in the game.       Advice: Santander has hit safely in nine of his last 11 games, going 12-for-41 (.293) with four homers and eight RBI in that span. He continues to dig himself out of a rough start to 2024, though he's still at a .223/.301/.450 slash line over 54 contests. Santander is hitting just .228, but his .227 BABIP is well below his career .269 BABIP. His strikeout percentage is 18 percent, which is below his career 20 percent strikeout percentage. Santander’s power is still there and he’s just been unlucky with his average so far.
