    • Labors through loss
Marsh (5-5) took the loss Sunday against Texas, allowing three runs on eight hits and two walks across 5.2 innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Marsh tied his season high in hits allowed Sunday and failed to complete six innings for the fourth time in his last five starts. While he didn't surrender a home run, the Rangers did tag Marsh for three doubles. All three runs against Marsh came in the fourth inning, when he allowed three straight hits to open the frame before yielding a two-out, two-RBI single to Leody Taveras. After posting a 4-2 record and a 3.24 ERA across his first nine starts, Marsh has put up a 6.66 ERA with a 1-3 record in June. He'll look to close out the month on a high note during a projected start against the Guardians next weekend. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:37 pm

    • Chased in fifth inning
Assad (4-3) allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk while failing to record a strikeout over 4.1 innings, taking the loss Sunday versus the Mets.

Advice: Assad has failed to complete five innings in four of his last nine starts. The Mets did most of their damage in the third inning, as Francisco Lindor and Brandon Nimmo hit back-to-back home runs to account for three of the four runs on Assad's line. The right-hander is now at a 3.04 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 79:33 K:BB through 83 innings across 16 starts this year. He's projected for a road game in Milwaukee in his next start. • Collects fourth straight win
Myers (5-2) allowed one run on five hits and struck out three without walking a batter over five innings to earn the win Sunday over the Padres.

Advice: Myers is undefeated in June, going 4-0 with just two runs allowed over 25.1 innings across four starts. The 25-year-old right-hander has a 3.12 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 45:16 K:BB over 52 innings through 11 appearances (10 starts) this season. Sunday was the first time since May 31 that he didn't pitch past the fifth inning -- he exited with 78 pitches (56 strikes). He's tentatively lined up to make his next start at home versus the Cubs. • Javier Assad gives up four runs in loss to Mets
Javier Assad wasn’t at his best in Sunday’s loss to the Mets, surrendering four runs on seven hits across his 4 1/3 innings of work.

Advice: Assad walked one batter on the evening and did not record a single strikeout. Most of the damage done against him came via the long ball, as Francisco Lindor crushed a two-run homer in the third inning and Brandon Nimmo followed with a solo shot. The Mets also scratched out a run while chasing Assad in the fifth. Assad got just three swings and misses on 90 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 26 percent. He’ll attempt to bounce back as he carries a 3.04 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and a 79/33 K/BB ratio (83 innings) into Friday’s battle against the Brewers in Milwaukee. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:21 pm

    • Shelled by Tigers
Cannon (1-2) was tagged with the loss after he pitched one inning, giving up eight runs (five earned) on seven hits while striking out one batter in Sunday's 11-2 defeat to the Tigers.

Advice: Cannon ran into trouble early Sunday, surrendering five runs in the first inning while serving up two home runs. He returned to the mound for the second frame, allowing three straight singles before being pulled from the contest. Cannon's performance against Detroit was quite the 180 degree shift from his last outing Tuesday versus the Astros, when he pitched 8.2 scoreless innings. On the season, Cannon now owns a 4.59 ERA and 1.41 WHIP with 29 strikeouts over 33.1 innings in seven appearances, including six starts, with the White Sox. With Mike Clevinger (elbow) nearing a return from the 15-day injured list, it's unclear if Cannon will get another turn in the rotation. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:07 pm

    • Tobias Myers dominates again in win over Padres
Tobias Myers picked up his fourth consecutive victory on Sunday, limiting the Padres to just one run on five hits over his five innings of work.

Advice: The 25-year-old hurler struck out three batters on the afternoon and didn’t issue a free pass. The lone tally against him came on a two-out RBI single by Luis Arraez in the fifth inning, then Myers punched out Jurickson Profar to end that threat. He got seven swings and misses on 78 pitches in the ballgame, registering a CSW of 28 percent. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling as he carries a 3.12 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and a 45/16 K/BB ratio (52 innings) into Saturday’s showdown against the Cubs in Milwaukee. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:58 pm

    • Alec Marsh hit around by Rangers
Alec Marsh allowed three runs on eight hits in 5 2/3 innings in a loss to the Rangers on Sunday.

Advice: Marsh held the Rangers scoreless through the first three innings, but he allowed three runs on three hits in the fourth inning and then got chased from the game in the middle of the sixth inning after allowing two straight hits; although none of the runners came around to score. Since his great start against the Yankees, where he modified his pitch mix specifically for New York’s hitters, Marsh has allowed 10 runs in nine combined innings in his last two starts. The 26-year-old has a 4.40 ERA and remains on the streaming radar, but is a bit risky next week against the Guardians. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:58 pm

    • Paul Skenes strong for seven against Rays
Paul Skenes was uninvolved in the decision Sunday after allowing one run in seven innings and striking out eight against the Rays.

Advice: The homer off the bat of Yandy Díaz led off the game. The Rays had no further luck, though, at least not until Skenes left the game to begin the eighth. It’s the first time in eight big-league starts that Skenes has gotten through seven. He still hasn’t taken a loss, and his ERA stands at 2.14. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:14 pm

    • Jonathan Cannon eviscerated by Tigers
Jonathan Cannon allowed five earned runs in one-plus innings on Sunday against the Tigers. He struck out one batter and didn’t administer a walk.

Advice: Cannon got smoked just one start after his near complete game shutout against the Astros on Tuesday. There was a costly error by Paul DeJong and Jared Shuster promptly allowed a three-run homer to Riley Greene which charged two additional runs to Cannon, but he was not good when he was in there either. The Tigers were all over his sinker and sweeper as he left far too many in the heart of the zone. Cannon will have a chance to right the ship next week against the Rockies. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:42 pm
