    • Kyle Finnegan collects win in relief on Tuesday
Kyle Finnegan picked up a win in relief with 1 1/3 scoreless innings of work on Tuesday against the Tigers.

Advice: Finnegan struck out Colt Keith to preserve a tie ballgame in the ninth inning and send the contest to extra innings before coming back out to protect a one-run margin in the ensuing frame. The 32-year-old stopper has been outstanding this season, converting 18 saves to go along with a sublime 1.65 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 29/10 K/BB ratio across 27 1/3 innings (27 appearances). • Albert Suárez tosses 5 1/3 scoreless to beat Braves
Albert Suárez struck out four over 5 1/3 scoreless innings on Tuesday in a win over the Braves.

Advice: Suarez was lifted from the contest after giving up back-ti-back one-out singles to open the sixth inning, but reliever Jacob Webb was able to put out the fire and preserve the shutout. He managed to scatter four hits and three walks in his longest scoreless outing since his season debut back on April 22 against the Angels. The 34-year-old journeyman has been an unexpected revelation this season for the Orioles and will bring a pristine 1.61 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 37/14 K/BB ratio across 44 2/3 innings (14 appearances, seven starts) into a challenging road matchup next Tuesday against the Yankees. • Fans nine in loss
Pepiot (4-3) took the loss Monday against Baltimore, allowing four runs on nine hits and no walks over six innings. He struck out nine.

Advice: Pepiot struggled to contain an imposing Orioles lineup, allowing a career-high nine hits. However, it wasn't all bad for the Rays righty as he generated an impressive 16 whiffs en route to nine strikeouts. Following this four-run appearance, Pepiot has thrown a 4.17 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 68:16 K:BB over 58.1 innings this season. The 26-year-old faces another difficult test in his next start, scheduled to be at Atlanta this weekend. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:08 pm

    • Ryan Pepiot strikes out nine in loss to Orioles
Ryan Pepiot struck out nine and allowed four runs over six innings on Monday in a loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Pepiot put together an extremely impressive performance as solo homers from Gunnar Henderson and Ryan O’Hearn, respectively, represented the only damage against him early on until O’Hearn added a two-run double in the fifth inning, which was enough to saddle him with a loss. He generated 16 swinging strikes, including six on his changeup alone, and finished with a robust 35 percent CSW. The 26-year-old righty has excelled in his Rays debut this season, allowing three earned runs or fewer in eight of his 11 starts. He’ll bring a sparkling 4.17 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 68/16 K/BB ratio across 58 1/3 innings (11 starts) into a challenging road matchup on Saturday against the Braves at Truist Park. • Crumbles in extra-inning loss
McArthur (2-3) allowed three runs (two earned) on two hits and two walks while striking out one over two-thirds of an inning to take the extra-inning loss versus the Mariners on Sunday.

Advice: McArthur's tumultuous pitching continued after a brief three-inning scoreless streak to begin June. He got into trouble in the 10th inning Sunday, allowing an RBI single to Julio Rodriguez and a two-run single to Cal Raleigh. The Royals nearly overcame it with another comeback push, but that fell short. McArthur has given up multiple runs five times this season, with four of those outings coming since the start of May. He's at a 5.27 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 24:5 K:BB through 27.1 innings while adding 12 saves in 16 chances. While he's generally kept decent control, he's giving up too much contact to be reliable, though the same can be said for a majority of the Royals' relievers. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:17 pm
    • Picks up 18th save
Finnegan earned the save Sunday, striking out one in a perfect inning against Atlanta.

Advice: Finnegan entered in the ninth frame after a Jarred Kelenic blast cut the Washington lead to three and needed only 11 pitches to finish off Atlanta and secure his 18th save in 20 opportunities. Finnegan has contributed 23 scoreless outings over 26 appearances spanning 26 innings this season, lowering his ERA to 1.73 and WHIP to 0.88 with Sunday's effort. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:06 pm

    • James McArthur gives up three runs to take loss
James McArthur took a loss to the Mariners on Sunday after allowing three runs — two earned — in the 10th inning.

Advice: It was his third appearance in four days. McArthur had been perfect in three outings since a disastrous May 31 outing in which he gave up four runs without retiring a batter to take a blown save. This pushes his ERA back up to 5.27, and the Royals are going to have start thinking about giving John Schreiber save chances. Rotoworld Sunday, 5:22 pm
    • Kyle Finnegan gets 18th save in win over ATL
Kyle Finnegan rescued the Nationals with a scoreless inning to secure an 8-5 win over the Braves on Sunday.

Advice: It didn’t seem like the Nationals would need Finnegan after taking an 8-2 lead into the ninth, but Jordan Weems allowed three runs on three hits without recording an out, so the Nationals asked Finnegan to bail them out. He responded by retiring the three batters he faced, including one on a strikeout. He now has 18 saves with a 1.73 ERA on the season and could be a big trade asset for the Nationals at the deadline if they decide to move on from the 32-year-old. The downside for fantasy managers is that he might not be a lock to close, depending on where he gets traded. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:20 pm

    • Struggles in London
Manaea (3-3) took the loss Saturday against the Phillies in London, allowing six runs on seven hits and a walk over 3.2 innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Manaea got off to a good start Saturday, holding the Phillies to just one hit through his first three scoreless innings. However, Bryce Harper launched a home run with one out in the fourth before Philadelphia rallied for five runs with two outs in the frame, forcing Manaea from the game. The left-hander's now allowed 11 earned runs over 9.1 innings in his last two starts after pitching to a 2.70 ERA over his previous seven outings. Overall, Manaea sports a 4.30 ERA with a 1.35 WHIP and 60:25 K:BB across 60.2 innings this year. He'll look to get back on track in his next start, currently scheduled for next week at home versus the Padres. Rotowire.com Saturday, 2:06 pm
