    • Anthony Santander homers twice in victory Saturday
Anthony Santander went 2-for-2 with two homers, four RBI, and a walk to lead the Orioles to a 6-2 win over the Phillies on Saturday.

Advice: Santander drew a walk in the second inning, then led off the fourth with a solo homer off Taijuan Walker to tie the game. He later gave the Orioles some insurance runs in the eighth, taking José Ruiz deep for a two-run blast for his second homer of the day. After hitting nine home runs over the first two months, he’s already up to eight while hitting .298 in a red-hot June. The 29-year-old slugger is slashing .231/.307/.498 with 17 homers and 42 RBI across 277 plate appearances on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:38 pm

    • Edmundo Sosa goes yard in loss to Orioles
Edmundo Sosa went 1-for-4 with a solo homer against the Orioles on Saturday.

Advice: Sosa led off the second inning with a solo shot off Grayson Rodriguez for the second of two runs the Phillies would score on the day. The 28-year-old infielder is hitting a solid .280/.343/.512 with five homers, 24 runs scored, 19 RBI, and two steals across 138 plate appearances as he fills in for Trea Turner at shortstop. • Wilyer Abreu (ankle) sprinting at full speed
Red Sox’ manager Alex Cora told reporters on Saturday that Wilyer Abreu (ankle) is now sprinting at full speed.

Advice: The 24-year-old outfielder is expected to be ready for a minor league rehab assignment early next week, and should only need a couple of games to get his timing back before he’s ready to rejoin the Red Sox’ lineup. Before landing on the injured list in early June, Abreu had been hitting .272/.344/.485 with six homers, 22 RBI and seven stolen bases through his first 189 plate appearances. • Aiming for return in late June
Contreras (forearm) is targeting a return in late June, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports.

Advice: Contreras has resumed taking batting practice and hopes to be cleared to begin a rehab assignment early next week. If that happens, a return sometime during the Cardinals' June 22-30 homestand is likely. It would be at least a couple weeks quicker than he was initially expected back following surgery in early May to repair a fractured forearm. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:04 am

    • Kyle Tucker (shin) might require rehab assignment
Astros manager Joe Espada told reporters Saturday that Kyle Tucker (shin) might require a minor league rehab assignment.

Advice: Espada elaborated that Tucker might need some rehab games to get back up to speed if he doesn’t resume running at some point this weekend. The 27-year-old fantasy superstar has been out since early June recovering from a right shin contusion and has yet to resume baseball activities. There should be a clearer picture of his potential return timeline at some point in the coming days. It certainly doesn’t sound like he’s close at this juncture. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:45 am

    • Breather Saturday
Bailey is not in the starting lineup Saturday against the Angels.

Advice: Bailey will get a breather after he went 5-for-17 with a double, two RBI and a run scored while starting each of the team's last five contests. Curt Casali will take over behind the plate and bat ninth versus Los Angeles. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:06 am
    • More BP, then games
Contreras (forearm) came out of his Friday's batting practice session with no issues and will repeat the step for the next few days, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Advice: It was the first time Contreras had taken BP since he had surgery on his fractured left forearm in early May. The hope is that he will be ready for a rehab assignment after a few days of batting practice, but he will need to gain medical clearance first. Contreras is tracking toward an earlier-than-expected return, but there's no target date just yet. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:45 am

    • Laces triple in loss
Rooker went 1-for-5 with an RBI triple in an extra-inning loss to the Twins on Friday.

Advice: Rooker's seventh-inning three-bagger plated JJ Bleday to snap a 4-4 tie, giving the Athletics a temporary reprieve after they'd blown an early 4-0 lead. The triple was Rooker's second of the season -- a new career high -- and marked his first extra-base hit since June 4. The veteran outfielder has now hit safely in five of his last seven games, but he's also carrying a .172 average and 43.3 percent strikeout rate across the 30 plate appearances he's logged in that span. • Slugs 15th homer
Santander went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-3 extra-innings loss to the Phillies.

Advice: His eighth-inning shot off Matt Strahm sent the game to extras, but Baltimore came up short in the end. Santander has been on a tear in June, slashing .273/.333/.636 with six of his 15 homers on the season in 14 games on the month. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:11 am
