    • Max Muncy gets Sunday off after three-homer game
Max Muncy is not in the starting lineup for the Dodgers on Sunday against Atlanta.

Advice: Muncy’s reward for a three-homer game Saturday vs. Atlanta is a day off against southpaw Max Fried. The 33-year-old slugger will sit with Enrique Hernandez playing third base and hitting fifth against Fried. Rotoworld 21 minutes ago

    • Javier (neck) could rejoin Astros during road trip
Cristian Javier (neck) could rejoin the Astros rotation during their upcoming road trip.

Advice: Javier didn’t pitch particularly well Saturday during his rehab start with Double-A Corpus Christi, but the three runs allowed over 3 1/3 innings aren’t what’s important. What does matter is that Javier felt good after the start, and he was able to throw 68 pitches. The Astros really need the rotation help right now, and while they won’t rush Javier back, the chance for a return in the next week or so looks promising. Rotoworld Today, 9:20 am

    • Nolan Gorman gets Sunday off against White Sox
Nolan Gorman is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the White Sox.

Advice: Gorman will get a rest against southpaw Garrett Crochet. Jose Fermin will play second base and hit eighth. Rotoworld Today, 8:17 am

    • Roughed up in first loss
Elder (1-1) was hit with the loss against the Dodgers on Saturday, allowing seven runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out four over 3.1 innings.

Advice: Elder went 1-2-3 through the first inning before surrendering a leadoff walk to Will Smith in the second, followed by a two-run shot off the bat of Max Muncy. The right-hander would then give up a home run in both the third and fourth innings as well, leading to a season-high seven runs being charged to him. Elder hadn't allowed a home run or more than two runs in either of his first two starts to open the campaign before getting beat up by the Dodgers on Saturday. However, he has now allowed seven or more hits in two of his first three outings this season. Rotowire.com Today, 6:56 am
    • Slugs three homers in blowout win
Muncy went 4-for-5 with three home runs and four RBI in Saturday's 11-2 win over Atlanta.

Advice: The three home runs were a single-game career high for Muncy, who ended a season-long power drought after he had blasted just five long balls through his first 30 contests of the campaign prior to Saturday. Muncy's slugging percentage rose exactly 100 points after the huge game and now sits at .551 for the season, which is the best mark of his career since his first year with the Dodgers in 2018. • Throws 68 pitches in rehab outing
Javier (neck) allowed three runs on three hits and two walks while striking out three across 3.1 innings in a rehab outing with Double-A Corpus Christi on Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: The results weren't overly impressive, but it was otherwise a successful outing for Javier, as he was slated to throw roughly 65 pitches in the outing and met that goal (68 pitches). Assuming no news of a setback emerges, he could rejoin the Astros' rotation at some point in the upcoming week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:33 pm

    • Doesn't go deep enough to win
Dunning allowed two runs on four hits and one walk while striking out four batters over 4.2 innings in a no-decision against Kansas City on Saturday.

Advice: Texas jumped out a 7-0 lead through four innings, which appeared to set Dunning up for an easy win. Meanwhile, the right-hander cruised through those four frames, facing the minimum 12 batters. However, Dunning ran into trouble in the top of the fifth, allowing four Royals to reach base in a span of five hitters, resulting in two runs and a two-out hook. That prevented Dunning from qualifying for the victory, which would have given him his first winning streak of the campaign. He still managed to lower his season ERA slightly to 4.10, but it was a disappointing outing after Dunning punched out 10 batters in a dominant win his previous time on the mound. • Max Muncy blasts three homers, Dodgers rout Braves
Max Muncy launched three homers on Saturday, powering the Dodgers to an 11-2 blowout victory over the Braves.

Advice: Muncy homered in the second, seventh and eighth innings to record the first three-homer game of his career. The 33-year-old veteran slugger took Braves starter Bryce Elder deep in the early stages of the contest before homering off relievers Tyler Matzek and Jackson Stephens towards the end of the game. He finished 4-for-5 with four RBI in the one-sided affair at Dodger Stadium. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:59 pm

    • Bryce Elder coughs up three homers to Dodgers
Bryce Elder was blasted for seven runs over 3 1/3 innings on Saturday in a loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: We saw this one coming. Elder was no match for Los Angeles’ star-studded lineup as he gave up seven hits, including three round-trippers, in an abbreviated outing. He was taken deep by Max Muncy, Shohei Ohtani and Andy Pages before departing in the fourth inning. He finished with four strikeouts and also issued four walks. It’s unclear whether he’ll make another start for Atlanta, but he’s tentatively lined up to take the ball next Saturday against the Mets. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:50 pm
