    • Lugo gets 10th win after six strong vs. Dodgers
      Seth Lugo gave up two runs in six innings to get a win against the Dodgers on Saturday.

      Advice: The victory is already the 10th of the season for Lugo. The right-hander allowed a two-run single to Gavin Lux in the fourth, but outside of that he handled the Dodgers lineup without many issues. He scattered six hits allowed while walking just one and striking out four. Lugo has been excellent in 2024, and it’d be a surprise if he wasn’t an All-Star at this point.     • Marcell Ozuna has 3 hits, HR in win
      Marcell Ozuna went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in a 9-2 win over the Rays on Saturday.

      Advice: Another game of Ozuna showing up as the best player for Atlanta. The 33-year-old now has 20 home runs and 62 RBI on the season in what has been a pretty spectacular start to the year. The only downside for fantasy is that he is not eligible at a position in many formats. Everything else has been superb. Rotoworld Today, 7:20 pm
       
    • Randy Arozarena homers in loss to Braves
      Randy Arozarena went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Braves on Saturday.

      Advice: Arozarena was hitless until a 403-foot big fly in the ninth inning. It was his ninth of the season and just his 21st RBI all year. The 29-year-old also struck out once and is hitting just .175/.284/.325 on the year. While the overall numbers are bad, there are no glaring red flags to point to. He’s swinging and missing slightly more and is perhaps being a bit too passive this season, potentially leading to worse overall contact quality.     • Nathan Eovaldi goes just three in loss to Mariners
      Nathan Eovaldi lasted just three innings while allowing four runs with six strikeouts in a loss to the Mariners on Saturday.

      Advice: Eovaldi needed 75 pitches to get through the three frames, and the Rangers called it a day for the 34-year-old after he completed that frame. he allowed four walks and allowed four hits, including a two-run homer to Julio Rodríguez. A rare off-night for Eovaldi, who still has a solid 3.15 ERA even with this disappointing — and not disastrous — effort. He’s scheduled to face the Royals next weekend.     • JD Mart homers twice in win over Padres
      J.D. Martinez went 3-for-3 with two home runs and three RBI in a 5-1 win over the Padres on Saturday.

      Advice: Martinez hit his first home run 391 feet off of Jhony Brito in the fourth inning and then followed that up with a 382-foot shot in the seventh. He now has eight home runs and 26 RBI in 43 games for the Mets so far this season. Given his regular playing time and spot in the middle of the Mets’ order, Martinez carries consistent fantasy value even in his age 36 season. Rotoworld Today, 6:42 pm
       
    • Jackson Merrill power binge continues in loss
      Jackson Merrill went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a loss to the Mets on Saturday.

      Advice: Merrill launched a 411-foot blast against Jose Quintana for his seventh home run of the season. The rookie now has four home runs in his last three games. All of them have also been solo shots. Merrill was billed as primarily a batting average asset who wouldn’t provide much power, so it’s nice to see him starting to show some pop.     • Tosses bullpen session
      Darvish (groin) threw a bullpen session Friday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

      Advice: Darvish simulated three innings in the session, tossing 60 pitches. The veteran hurler said before throwing the bullpen that he expects the session to be sufficient ramp-up to allow him to return to the Padres' rotation without a rehab assignment.       Trout (knee) has yet to progress to performing on-field activities, per MLB.com.

      Advice: Trout has been out of action since being diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his left knee near the end of April. Los Angeles has thus far kept him on the 10-day IL, but he doesn't seem to be anywhere near being activated -- or even beginning a minor-league rehab stint -- given his lack of baseball activity. Trout is expected to return to action at some point this season, but the Angels are unlikely to rush him back given their position in the standings, and his timeframe for rejoining the team remains very hazy. The 26-year-old saw his five-game hit streak come to an end Friday, but he's still batting .308 with two home runs, five RBI, six runs scored and five stolen bases over his last nine games.
