      Advice: Hoskins provided the Brewers first run of the game, leading off the second inning with a solo home run. The long ball was matched by Joey Ortiz, who immediately followed suit and hit a home run as the next batter after Hoskins.       Alex Verdugo went 3-for-5 with a homer and four RBI in a 10-3 win over the Astros on Tuesday.

      Advice: The home run was Verdugo’s fifth on the season and he now has 17 RBI. The big fly wasn’t a Yankee Stadium blast either, with Verdugo hitting it 383 feet at 107.4 mph off the bat. While many expected a power boost for Verdugo moving to Yankee Stadium, he has just a 3.8 percent barrel rate and his lowest fly ball rate since 2021. His HR/FB rate is up, so Verdugo could easily surpass his 13 home runs from last year, but he’s unlikely to see a major surge. Still, his walk rate is the highest it’s ever been and he’s slashing .275/.362/.450 on the season, which will give him fantasy value if he keeps hitting cleanup behind Juan Soto and Aaron Judge.     • Rutschman extends hit streak to five in loss
      Adley Rutschman went 1-for-4 in the Orioles’ 3-0 loss to the Nationals on Tuesday.

      Advice: Offense was hard to come by for the Orioles in this one, as Rutschman’s hit was one of just three the Birds recorded on the evening. The real story of the night was the Nationals pitching, as starter Trevor Williams struck out eight batters over five innings while the bullpen notched four more K’s.       Soler (shoulder) isn't in the Giants' lineup for Tuesday's game against Colorado, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

      Advice: Although Soler's shoulder injury has now kept him out of the lineup for three consecutive games, the Giants have not said anything that would suggest a future move to the IL for the 32-year-old slugger.       Corey Seager hit a three-run homer in the eighth to lead the Rangers past the A’s 4-2 on Monday.

      Advice: The Rangers were still scoreless until Seager took Lucas Erceg deep in the eighth. They then added an insurance run in the ninth. The homer was Seager’s third in 33 games this season.       Seager went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run Monday in a 4-2 victory against Oakland.

      Advice: Texas was down 2-0 heading into the eighth frame before Seager turned the team's fortunes around with a two-out, three-run blast to center field. It was a much-needed big moment for the star shortstop, as he came into the contest batting just .190 in May and .228 overall on the season. After slugging 33 homers and driving in 96 runs last year, Seager has just three homers and 13 RBI through 33 games in 2024.
