      Freddy Peralta was tagged for six runs in 5 1/3 innings by the Reds on Friday.

      Advice: We sure do miss the Peralta of April. He gave up 10 hits tonight, which matches his total from both his first three starts and his second three starts. In fact. he had never before surrendered 10 hits in an outing. His velocity has held steady, and he got 16 missed swings tonight, but the Brewers couldn’t pick him up in this one.     • Tyler Anderson works around five walks for win
      Tyler Anderson gave up just one run in 5 1/3 innings to get a win over the Giants on Friday.

      Advice: Anderson struck out five, but he also allowed five hits and five walks. The 34-year-old threw just 59-of-105 pitches for strikes, and while there were some questionable calls, it’s fair to say that he didn’t have his best command. Still, he was able to get the job done as he has for the overwhelming majority of 2024, and this outing lowers his ERA to 2.58.       Ryne Stanek allowed one hit and no runs while picking up a save Friday against the Rangers.

      Advice: Andres Munoz worked the eighth inning, so the Mariners turned to Stanek for the save chance. He did allow a double to Wyatt Langford, but he was able to work around it while procuring his sixth save of 2024.       Peralta (4-4) yielded six runs on 10 hits and a walk over 5.1 innings Friday, striking out six and taking a loss against the Reds.

      Advice: Peralta gave up two home runs in the loss, including a two-run shot by Jeimer Candelario in the fifth inning. He forced 16 whiffs Friday, marking the 12th time he's reached double digits this season. Peralta has posted a 7.90 ERA through three starts this month, bumping his season ERA up to 4.38 through 76 innings. He's now 1-4 since the start of May.       Alec Bohm went 3-for-5 with double and two RBI on Friday in the Phillies’ dramatic 5-3 win over the Orioles.

      Advice: Bohm’s eleventh inning double put a stamp on what was maybe the game of the year so far with the Orioles and Phillies going back and forth all night with a long rain delay in between.     • Ranger Suárez allows just one run against Orioles
      Ranger Suárez scattered six hits across 6 2/3 innings in a no-decision on Friday against the Orioles. He struck out six, walked two, and allowed one earned run.

      Advice: Relative to the rest of his season, this was a difficult start for Suárez and he still allowed just one run against one of the best offenses in baseball. He kept the ball down, mixed all five of his pitches, and hit his spots when he needed to. Especially tough on lefties, he made Gunnar Henderson look as frustrated as he’s been all season with two nasty punch outs. Suárez’s Cy Young campaign will march on next week against the Padres.       Lawrence (shoulder) will make his first rehab appearance Friday at Triple-A Albuquerque, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.
