• Posts three hits in win
Herrera went 3-for-5 with one RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Reds.

Advice: Herrera went 1-for-11 over his previous three games before breaking out of the slump Tuesday. All three of his hits were singles in this contest. The catcher is up to a .276/.344/.362 slash line with three home runs, 16 RBI, 15 runs scored and one stolen base across 131 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:10 pm
  • Iván Herrera has three hits in win over Reds
Iván Herrera went 3-for-5 with an RBI in a win over the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: The 23-year-old has taken over as the Cardinals’ starting catcher after the Willson Contreras injury and was also hitting clean-up on Tuesday. Nothing Herrera hit was over 84 mph on the day, but a hit is a hit in the box score. He now has a .276/.344/.362 triple slash with 16 RBI and will continue to be worth rostering in two-catcher formats while Contreras is out. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:32 pm
  • Drives in run in return
Murphy went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Monday's loss to the Nationals.

Advice: Seeing his first MLB action since Opening Day, Murphy hit fifth in the order and brought home Marcell Ozuna with a groundout in the seventh inning. With Ronald Acuna (knee) lost for the season, Atlanta needs Murphy to quickly regain the form that saw him set career highs with 21 homers and an .843 OPS in 2023. • Picks up first steal
Herrera went 0-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Herrera is in a bit of a slump, having gone 1-for-12 with four walks and four strikeouts over his last five games. The catcher's steal Sunday was the first of his career. He's added a .262/.336/.355 slash line with three home runs, 15 RBI and 14 runs scored over 122 plate appearances this season. Herrera continues to occupy a starting role behind the dish with Pedro Pages as backup while Willson Contreras (forearm) is likely out until mid-July. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:22 am
  • Braves active Sean Murphy for Monday return
Braves activated C Sean Murphy from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: It’s been a long wait, but Murphy is back. The veteran catcher played just one game for the Braves this season before injuring his oblique. He’s been hitting the ball well on his rehab assignment and throwing out baserunners, which shows his readiness to step back behind the dish. With Travis d’Arnaud playing well while Murphy was out, it’s likely that the Braves use a timeshare at catcher for the next few weeks, so fantasy managers who have d’Arnaud can maybe hold on a bit longer. That’s especially true given the injury to Ronald Acuna Jr. could mean Marcell Ozuna plays some outfield and d’Arnaud or Murphy could DH on occasion. Rotoworld Monday, 8:13 am

  • Activated from injured list
Atlanta activated Murphy (oblique) from the 10-day injured list Monday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Murphy missed more than eight weeks with a Grade 1 left oblique strain but is finally ready to rejoin Atlanta's lineup. He looked sharp during a four-game rehab stint with Triple-A Gwinnett, batting .278 with two home runs. Murphy will probably be eased back into primary catcher duties for Atlanta, as the club is keeping Chadwick Tromp around as a third catcher behind Murphy and Travis d'Arnaud for the time being. He is starting Monday's game, batting fifth against Mitchell Parker and the Nationals. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:28 am

  • Getting break Sunday
Stephenson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Los Angeles.

Advice: Stephenson will get a break after catching in Cincinnati's first two games of its series against the Dodgers. Luke Maile will fill in at catcher and will bat eighth as the Reds go for the series sweep. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:15 am
  • Sean Murphy batting .355 on rehab assignment
Sean Murphy (oblique) went 2-for-5 with an RBI on Friday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A Gwinnett.

Advice: Murphy homered in back-to-back contests to kick-off his rehab assignment prior to Friday’s game. He’s batting .357 (5-for-14) and appears close to returning to Atlanta’s lineup, possibly at some point this weekend. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:18 am

  • Pops clutch homer
Stallings hit a solo home run in his only plate appearance in Friday's 3-2 11-inning win over the Phillies.

Advice: Stallings entered the game as a pinch hitter in the ninth inning and took Jose Alvarado yard to tie the game at 2-2. It was his third home run of the season, all of which have come in May. Even with the positive results for Stallings, Elias Diaz will continue to pick up the majority of starts behind the plate for the Rockies. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:49 pm
