    • Robbie Ray to pitch in ACL game next week
Robbie Ray (elbow) is scheduled to pitch in an Arizona Complex League game at some point next week as he continues his recovery from Tommy John surgery.

Advice: Ray continues to make strides toward a return to the Giants’ rotation. He’s going to wind up needing several minor league rehab starts after he’s finished with his work in the Arizona Complex League before he’s ready to return. As long as he avoids any setbacks along the way, he could be ready to make his Giants’ debut before the All-Star break. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago

    • Absent from lineup
Olivares is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: It's his second straight game on the bench after he had started the previous four contests in right field. Connor Joe will occupy right field again Friday while Rowdy Tellez covers first base. Rotowire.com Today, 12:57 pm

    • Heating up at plate
Meneses went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBI in Thursday's win over Atlanta.

Advice: The 32-year-old has five hits in his last two games, and since a May 14 doubleheader against the Red Sox, Meneses is slashing .333/.385/.438 with two doubles, a homer and seven RBI over 13 contests. With the Nationals' lineup fully healthy again, Meneses will need to keep hitting if he wants to maintain regular playing time between first base and DH. Rotowire.com Today, 7:34 am
    • Nabs save Thursday
Garrett earned a save against the Diamondbacks on Thursday, walking one batter in a perfect inning.

Advice: Garrett walked the first batter he faced but managed to retire the next three Arizona hitters to nail down his third save. With Edwin Diaz (shoulder) on the injured list, Garrett appears to be the Mets' top option for ninth-inning work. The right-hander has notched New York's past two saves, though they came 11 days apart. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:19 pm
    • Joey Meneses drives in pair in win over Atlanta
Joey Meneses drove in two runs while going 2-for-4 in a victory over Atlanta on Thursday for the Nationals.

Advice: Meneses doubled home two runs in the third inning to give the Nationals a 2-0 lead. That would be all the offense they’d need with Trevor Williams and the Washington bullpen holding Atlanta to just a single run. Meneses has been better as of late, but it’s still hard to justify a first baseman in a fantasy lineup with just a .617 OPS. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:00 pm
    • Reed Garrett procures save against Diamondbacks
Reed Garrett hurled a scoreless ninth to get a save Thursday against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Garrett has saved three games, and with Edwin Díaz out with a shoulder impingement, that number is likely to go up. Assuming New York wins games, of course. The right-hander did walk one batter, but he didn’t allow a hit and lowered his ERA to 2.54. If still available, Garrett is a nice stopgap closing option. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:57 pm
    • Quality start in no-decision
Taillon didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Brewers, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out four.

Advice: All three of Milwaukee's runs off Taillon came in the third inning, including a pair on three consecutive two-out hits. While the Cubs bullpen couldn't close out a win, it was the third quality start for Taillon this year -- he failed to make it through six innings in his previous three outings, posting a 5.02 ERA in that span. Overall, the 32-year-old right-hander is 3-2 with a 2.84 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 29:12 K:BB through his first eight starts (44.1 innings). Taillon's tentatively slated for a home matchup with the White Sox in his next outing. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:16 pm

    • Geraldo Perdomo (knee) starting rehab assignment
Geraldo Perdomo (knee) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Friday in the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League.

Advice: Perdomo is most likely going to require a couple weeks to get back up to speed before returning to Arizona as he works his way back from early-April surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:23 pm

    • Taillon posts quality start Thursday
Jameson Taillon allowed three runs in six innings and got the no-decision against the Brewers on Thursday.

Advice: Taillon allowed six hits, one walk and struck out four. He’s rebounded nicely from the 4.84 ERA he had last year. Taillon now has a 2.84 ERA in eight starts for the Cubs this season. This was only the third time this year that he was able to complete at least six innings, though. The 32-year-old right-hander is set to face the White Sox at home next week.
