    • Bryson Stott goes hitless against Giants
Bryson Stott, who didn’t start Monday, went 0-for-4 in the loss to the Giants on Tuesday.

Advice: Stott has run extremely hot and cold this season, posting a .559 OPS over his first 25 games and a 1.242 OPS over his subsequent 18 games. Now he’s back in another drought, having gone 2-for-28 in his last eight games. The good news is that he’s struck out just three times during that span. He still projects as a useful MI in mixed leagues going forward. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:39 pm
    • Geraldo Perdomo (knee) nearing rehab assignment
Geraldo Perdomo (knee) is close to starting a minor league rehab assignment.

Advice: Perdomo will head to the nearby Rookie-level Arizona Complex League for a handful of contests before shifting to facing some higher-level competition at Triple-A Reno. The 24-year-old shortstop has been out since early April recovering from surgery to repair a meniscus tear in his right knee. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:50 pm

    • Nearing game action
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Tuesday that Perdomo (knee) is expected to play in live games "very, very shortly," Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: The 24-year-old has already taken live at-bats but has yet to run thus bases, so he still has a bit of work to do in his rehab program before seeing game action. Lovullo said in mid-May that Perdomo was expected to return from the injured list in a couple weeks, but it instead appears the shortstop's absence will extend into June. • Bryson Stott gets a day off on Monday
Bryson Stott is not in the lineup for the Phillies game against the Giants on Monday.

Advice: It’s a routine day off for Stott, which was a decision made easier by the Giants starting left-hander Blake Snell. Edmundo Sosa will move up to sixth in the lineup while Whit Merrifield will play second base and hit seventh. Cristian Pache will also start in left field with Brandon Marsh sitting against the lefty. Rotoworld Monday, 11:19 am
    • Sitting against left-hander
Stott is not in the lineup for Monday's game in San Francisco.

Advice: The Giants are starting reigning National League Cy Young winner and southpaw Blake Snell on Monday, so the left-handed hitting Stott will receive a day off. Whit Merrifield will handle second base for the Phillies. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:17 am
    • Trea Turner ‘pulled back’ on rehab due to soreness
Phillies manager Rob Thomson told reporters that Trea Turner (hamstring) is dealing with soreness and he’ll be “pulled back” on his rehab.

Advice: “How long, I don’t know,” Thomson said. “I’m not really concerned at this point.” Turner is working his way back from his left hamstring strain, and he ran at a higher intensity Saturday as he attempts to make a quicker return than anticipated. It’s concerning to see, but it’s also possible this is just precautionary. A rehab assignment will assuredly be needed before he can return. Rotoworld Sunday, 10:15 am

    • Homers, steals base in win
Turang went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and a stolen base Saturday in Boston.

Advice: His third home run of the season came in the eighth inning off reliever Zack Kelly. Turang had drawn a walk and notched his 19th stolen base of the season earlier in the contest. After going 26-for-30 in stolen base attempts as a rookie, Turang is now a perfect 19-for-19 in 2024. Only Elly De La Cruz has more this season with 31. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:45 pm

    • Trea Turner runs at higher intensity on Saturday
Trea Turner (hamstring) was able to run at a higher intensity on Saturday as he continues to work his way back from a left hamstring strain.

Advice: If he feels alright on Sunday, he could soon progress to actually running on the bases. He’ll still need to take swings against live pitching and play in at least some simulated games before he’ll be ready to rejoin the Phillies’ lineup, but he continues to make much quicker progress than originally anticipated. • Runs at higher intensity Saturday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said that Turner (hamstring) ran at a higher intensity Saturday, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Advice: Turner could progress to running the bases as soon as the Phillies' series in San Francisco against the Giants which begins Monday. He will need to complete that step and also see live pitching before being cleared to begin a rehab assignment, but rehab games wouldn't seem to be too terribly far off if he continues moving in the right direction.
