    • Will Smith delivers in 10th as Dodgers down Giants
Will Smith delivered a two-run double in the top of the 10th to propel the Dodgers past the Giants 6-4 on Monday.

Advice: It was his second hit of the game. Smith hit .258., 260 and .261 the last three years, but he’s at .309 right now, and he has the exit velocity numbers to somewhat back it up. He’ll probably fade as the foul tips and other catching maladies pile up, but he’s been one of the NL’s best players to date. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:42 pm

    • Bryson Stott stays hot, Phillies edge Mets
Bryson Stott went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI on Monday, powering the Phillies to a 5-4 win over the Mets in a 10-inning marathon.

Advice: Stott delivered late for Philadelphia, taking Mets stopper Edwin Díaz deep to lead off the ninth inning before tacking on a go-ahead sacrifice fly in the ensuing frame to put the Phillies ahead for good in a back-and-forth slugfest at Citi Field. The 26-year-old infielder has been on an absolute heater of late, batting .433 (13-for-30) with one homer and five steals in nine contests since the start of May, which obviously doesn’t include a two-homer explosion back on April 28. • Might throw off mound this weekend
Eovaldi (groin) could be ready to throw off a mound this weekend, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.

Advice: Eovaldi did some more flat-ground throwing Monday and might be ready to take the next step forward by getting back on a mound to toss a bullpen session. While he looks to be trending in the right direction, Eovaldi doesn't look as though he'll be ready to return from the 15-day injured list when first eligible on Saturday. He's coming back from a strained right groin. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:38 pm

    • Continues hot stretch
Diaz went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and two runs scored Sunday against the Yankees.

Advice: Diaz launched his second homer in as many games and his third of the season. He has turned his results around in May, as he's maintained a .333 average with eight RBI and eight runs scored across 10 games. Diaz remains locked in as the Rays' leadoff hitter and should be a strong source of batting average and runs scored moving forward. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:41 am

    • Homers, plates two in loss
Rooker went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Rooker stayed hot at the plate with his fourth multi-hit effort in his last five games and second home run over that span as well. Since the start of May, Rooker is slashing .441/.525/.882 with four homers, 12 RBI, 11 runs and a 6:7 BB:K in 40 plate appearances. He's now up to 10 long balls on the year and is one of 10 players with double-digit home runs thus far. Rooker also owns a .632 slugging percentage and 1.012 OPS, both of which would rank third in baseball if he had enough plate appearances to qualify. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:27 am

    • Gives up two home runs
Buehler (0-1) took the loss Sunday against the Padres, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two in 3.1 innings.

Advice: The majority of the damage against Buehler came in the opening frame when Fernando Tatis and Jake Cronenworth smoked back-to-back solo home runs. Buehler would later exit with the bases loaded and one out in the fourth and was charged with an additional run. He struggled with his command in another abbreviated start, throwing 45 of 77 pitches for strikes, and generated only five whiffs. Buehler will carry a 7.36 ERA, 1.77 WHIP and 6:2 K:BB over 7.1 innings into a meeting with the Reds. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:20 pm

    • Swipes two bags in loss
Stott went 2-for-2 with three walks, two stolen bases and a run scored in Sunday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Marlins.

Advice: Stott found a way to get on base in each of his plate appearances Sunday while also swiping two bags in the loss. He has recorded 10 stolen bases on the season while getting caught only once. Stott has notched at least one hit in eight out of his last nine contests, batting .414 with four extra-base hits, nine RBI, nine runs scored and five stolen bases over that stretch. • Marcell Ozuna plates two in tough loss to Mets
Marcell Ozuna smacked a go-ahead RBI single in the eighth inning on Sunday night, but it still wasn’t enough to lead the Braves past the Mets.

Advice: Ozuna gave the Braves the lead in the sixth inning with an RBI single off of Reed Garrett that made it a 2-1 ballgame. They then entered the eighth inning locked in a 2-2 tie, but got things started as Zack Short worked Adam Ottavino for a leadoff walk. He then swiped second base and raced around to score on Ozuna’s run-scoring single. The 33-year-old slugger finished the night 2-for-3 plus a walk and is slashing a robust .326/.404/.638 with 12 homers and a league-leading 40 RBI. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:14 pm

    • Brent Rooker goes deep as A’s fall to Mariners
Brent Rooker socked his 10th dinger of the season on Sunday as the Athletics fell to the Mariners in Seattle.

Advice: The 29-year-old outfielder clubbed a 411-foot (113.4 mph EV) two-run shot off of Cody Bolton in the eighth inning, pulling the A’s to within four runs at 8-4. He also singled in the ballgame, finishing the day 2-for-4. On the season, he’s hitting an impressive .292/.380/.632 with 10 homers, 27 RBI and a pair of stolen bases for good measure.
