  • Rhys Hoskins leads Brewers past Rockies on Tuesday
Rhys Hoskins drew a go-ahead bases-loaded walk with two outs in the ninth inning on Tuesday night, leading the Brewers to a 4-3 victory over the Rockies.

Advice: Hoskins entered the game as a pinch-hitter for Jake Bauers in the eighth inning where he went down on strikes. He atoned for that failure in the ninth inning though, working a walk off of Justin Lawrence to drive in the go-ahead run. On the season, the 31-year-old slugger is hitting .224/.318/.404 with 11 homers, 38 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:14 pm
  • Elly De La Cruz homers in win over Yankees
Elly De La Cruz went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs in a win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

Advice: The home run was a 425-foot shot for his 15th home run of the season. Elly also struck out twice and is hitting just .226 over his last 40 games while posting a strikeout rate of over 31 percent; however, his athleticism and raw power are so elite that he continues to produce fantasy goodness. If he ever made the plate discipline gains to make more consistent contact, he could be the best player in fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:31 pm
  • Austin Riley homers again in loss to Giants
Austin Riley went 1-for-4 with a home run in Tuesday’s loss to the Giants.

Advice: Riley got the scoring started for the Braves in the second inning when he took Hayden Birdsong 415 feet to left for a solo homer. The home run was Riley’s 10th blast of the season and his third in his last 10 games. The veteran third baseman has gotten off to a slow start this season after three straight 30-plus homer seasons but has now hit safely in six of his last eight games. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:24 pm
  • Absent from lineup
Hoskins isn't in the Brewers' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: After recording a base hit in 10 of his last 11 games, Hoskins went 0-for-4 with a sacrifice fly during Monday's loss in the series opener. He'll now sit against Ryan Feltner and the Rockies on Tuesday, putting Jake Bauers at first base while Christian Yelich serves as the Brewers' DH, opening a spot in left field for Jackson Chourio. • Taking seat Tuesday
Merrifield is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Merrifield's playing time has been trending upward lately, starting four of the Phillies' previous six games. However, he'll yield to Brandon Marsh in left field for Tuesday's series opener in Chicago. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:41 pm

  • Back in action
Brujan (undisclosed) is batting seventh and playing second base Tuesday against Boston.

Advice: Brujan was scratched from Saturday's game against Philadelphia for unspecified reasons and remained out of the lineup for Sunday's contest. However, he'll enter the starting nine at second base Tuesday while Xavier Edwards plays shortstop. With Tim Anderson booted from the 40-man roster, Brujan should see regular playing time in the infield moving forward. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:54 am

  • Nolan Jones collects two hits in Rockies’ win
Nolan Jones went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a walk versus the Brewers on Monday.

Advice: The second hit also would have been at least a double, but it hit first base umpire Brian O’Nora on its way down the first base line, resulting in a single. Jones has had issues with strikeouts since coming off the IL last month, but he’s hitting the ball harder than he did in April and drawing a bunch of walks (12 in 15 games). He should prove pretty useful in mixed leagues the rest of the way. Rotoworld Monday, 9:19 pm

  • Brewers designate Owen Miller for assignment
Brewers designated INF/OF Owen Miller for assignment.

Advice: With Garrett Mitchell coming off the 60-day IL, the Brewers needed an extra spot on the 40-man roster, so they decided to move on from Miller, who had been sent to Triple-A at the end of May. Miller had started the year strong for Milwaukee but is hitting just .185 on the season with a 39 percent strikeout rate. He’ll hope to get a shot with another organization. • Exits 40-man roster
The Brewers designated Miller for assignment Monday.

Advice: The 27-year-old has spent most of his time this season in the minors, having slashed just .185/.185/.222 across 27 plate appearances during his time in the majors in 2024. Miller offers some defensive versatility and has flashed at times offensively, so it's possible he draws some interest via trade or waivers. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:47 am
