    • Joins hit parade in Colorado
Stephenson went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and an additional run scored in Monday's 13-3 win over the Rockies.

Advice: The Reds busted out in a big way in Colorado, setting new season highs in hits and runs. Stephenson's teammates did most of the damage before the catcher finished the rout with a two-run homer in the ninth inning. It was his sixth home run of the season and first in 13 games. • Moves up order
Moreno batted second and went 1-for-4 in Monday's 4-2 win over the Giants.

Advice: Arizona manager Torey Lovullo tweaked the lineup against a left-handed starter, dropping Corbin Carroll to eighth and moving Moreno up the order. The manager told Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports that Carroll is expected to slide down the order against lefties beyond Monday's game. The move is not a recognition of Moreno's hot bat -- he's batting .235 with a .643 OPS -- and is more about Carroll's struggles. Rotowire.com Today, 4:29 am
    • Swipes bag Monday
Herrera went 2-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Monday's 7-4 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Herrera's two steals this year have come over his last eight games. The catcher has gone 8-for-31 (.258) in that span, but he has just two extra-base hits, one RBI and one run scored. For the season, he's batting .269 with a .691 OPS, three home runs, three doubles, 16 RBI and 15 runs scored over 150 plate appearances. While there hasn't been a lot of power in his bat, Herrera has hit well enough to maintain the starting job over Pedro Pages while Willson Contreras (forearm) remains out. • Powers offense with solo shots
Rogers went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs in Monday's 2-1 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Rogers had half of Detroit's hits and provided all of the team's offense in the narrow win. The catcher is now up to four home runs across 38 games this season, and this was his first multi-homer effort. He has some work to do to match the career-high 21 long balls he recorded in 2023, though as he displayed Monday, he can rack up home runs quickly when he's dialed in at the plate. • Rogers blasts two home runs in win Monday
Jake Rogers went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs against the Rangers on Monday.

Advice: The home runs were all the offense the Tigers would get in their 2-1 victory. Rogers now has four home runs and his ISO is up to .150 on the season. He had a .224 ISO last year and his career ISO is .194. Rogers is hitting .230 and he’ll have to pick up the power pace if he wants to repeat the 21 home runs he hit last year. • Activated, optioned to Triple-A
Delay (knee) was activated from the 60-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis on Monday, per MLB's transaction log.

Advice: Delay has completed his rehab assignment and will remain at Triple-A Indianapolis now that he's returned to full strength. He's appeared in one game this year for the Pirates, collecting one RBI and one walk in five plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:43 pm

    • Jason Delay activated, sent to Triple-A by Pirates
Pirates activated C Jason Delay from the 60-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Indianapolis.

Advice: Delay had been sidelined with right knee inflammation. He’ll go back to being the fourth catcher on the Pirates’ depth chart, though he’s No. 3 right now with Yasmani Grandal out. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:52 pm

    • Back on bench Monday
Barnhart is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Giants.

Advice: As expected, Barnhart will retreat to the bench after he filled in for a resting Gabriel Moreno in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Mets. Moreno entered the season as the Diamondbacks' clear No. 1 backstop, and Barnhart has done little to change the pecking order behind the plate by hitting just .154 over 52 at-bats. • Getting rest Monday
Kelly is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: Kelly will get a break after he started at catcher in four of the Tigers' previous five games, including Sunday's 8-4 win over the Red Sox. Jake Rogers will step in behind the plate Monday, forming a battery with starting pitcher Tarik Skubal. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:00 pm
