  • Expected to be fine
Manager Craig Counsell said after Wednesday's game versus the White Sox that he believes Morel will be fine after he fouled a ball off his left foot, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: Morel had to leave Wednesday's contest because of his foot, and although he never received an X-ray, the Cubs are confident he escaped the incident without any severe damage. There's a chance Morel sits out a game or two in order to recover from any lingering soreness, but a trip to the injured list shouldn't be necessary. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:02 pm
  • Prevents shutout with homer
Rodriguez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Rodriguez got the Mariners on the board in the ninth inning, taking a 102.5 mph offering from Mason Miller deep to center field. This was Rodriguez's third homer over his last 11 games, a span in which he's gone 15-for-42 (.357) with 10 RBI. The star outfielder continues to shake off a slow start to the year, and he's now at a .270/.317/.351 slash line with five homers, 24 RBI, 27 runs scored and 14 stolen bases through 63 contests. • Drives in five Wednesday
Judge went 1-for-3 with a triple, a walk and five RBI in Wednesday's 9-5 win against Minnesota.

Advice: Judge broke the game open in the fifth inning, lacing a bases-loaded triple to left field to give New York a 7-0 lead. It was the slugger's first triple since 2019 and just the fifth of his career as a big-leaguer. Judge had already plated a run with a groundout in the first inning, and he added an RBI with a bases-loaded walk in the sixth frame to give him his first five-RBI performance of the campaign. He now ranks second in the majors with 54 runs batted in this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:46 pm
  • Clubs leadoff homer
Julks went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 7-6 loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Julks gave the White Sox a hot start, homering on Jameson Taillon's first pitch of the game. During his eight-game hitting streak, Julks has gone 11-for-33 (.333) with four extra-base hits and three RBI. It looks like the 28-year-old outfielder could get a look at leadoff while Tommy Pham (ankle) is out, as that's where Julks has batted in the last two games -- against lefty Shota Imanaga on Tuesday and the right-handed Taillon on Wednesday. Julks has a .315/.393/.519 slash line with two homers, six RBI, six runs scored and two stolen bases over 61 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:10 pm
  • Isiah Kiner-Falefa wins game for Blue Jays
Isiah Kiner-Falefa went 2-for-4 with two RBI, including the game-winner, as the Blue Jays edged the Orioles 3-2 on Wednesday.

Advice: The game-winner was a fly to deep right that would have normally been caught but dropped because the fielder was playing shallow in the hopes of cutting down the runner from third base. The other RBI came on an infield single in the second. That’s just what Kiner-Falefa does, though, and his contributions have been a little more valuable this year with power numbers down across the league. As sad as it is to write, his current .704 OPS is a tad better than the league OPS on the whole. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:18 pm
  • Delivers walkoff home run
Tauchman went 2-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and two additional runs scored in Wednesday's 7-6 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Tauchman provided some heroics, taking Michael Kopech deep in the bottom of the ninth inning to send the fans home happy. The veteran outfielder has provided steady play for the Cubs, and while Chicago has a crowded outfield, Tauchman has been able to see regular playing time as the DH when he's not in the field. As long as he's getting at-bats, the 33-year-old should hold onto some fantasy value. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:18 pm
  • Records first MLB home run
Malloy went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 9-1 loss to the Rangers.

Advice: While it was an ugly night for the Tigers, it was a great night for Malloy. The rookie delivered his first MLB hit in the top of the sixth inning, and it also happened to be his first MLB home run. Malloy added a single a few innings later for good measure. The 24-year-old is a promising prospect with some power upside, and he figures to see regular playing time at least for the foreseeable future, giving him an opportunity to show what he can do. • IL stint expected
The Rockies will likely place Bryant (back) on the 10-day injured list Thursday, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.

Advice: Wednesday marked the third game in a row Bryant missed due to his sore back, which has not responded well to treatment. He will likely be joined on the IL by Sean Bouchard (ankle), and the Rockies will presumably call up a couple of minor leaguers to fill the openings in their outfield. Injuries have limited Bryant to just 24 games so far this season, during which he's slashed .186/.307/.279 with 10 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:00 pm
  • Jason Heyward doubles three times against Pirates
Jason Heyward collected three doubles and scored twice against the Pirates on Wednesday.

Advice: Heyward has played in just 19 games in between injuries, but his OPS is 70 points ahead of Teoscar Hernández’s (.839 to .768), a stat that would surely surprise many. The three-double game is the fourth of his career. He previously did it once each in 2010, 2013 and 2023. He’s never had a three-homer game. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:59 pm
