  • Plays full rehab game again
Gelof (oblique) played a full game at second base in Triple-A Las Vegas' win over Round Rock on Sunday, going 0-for-3 with an RBI sacrifice fly and a walk.

Advice: Gelof's ability to play a full game for the second straight day is certainly an encouraging sign for his progress from his oblique injury. The young infielder could be on the verge of activation, although the Athletics will undoubtedly evaluate him carefully Monday to see how he's responded to the back-to-back full workloads over the weekend. • Impactful game in win
Merrill went 3-for-4 with two steals and a run scored in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Merrill tallied at least three hits in a game for the fourth time this season and it was his 11th multi-hit game of his rookie campaign. Merrill hadn't swiped a bag since April 16 but managed to steal and eventually score in the fourth before taking another base in the eighth. He's settled in nicely thus far, slashing .282/.331/.374 with two homers, 16 RBI, 17 runs, six steals and a 10:23 BB:K in 143 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:00 pm
  • Goes back-to-back in first inning
Cronenworth went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Cronenworth got things started for the Padres by going back-to-back with Fernando Tatis off Walker Buehler in the opening inning. He went hitless the rest of the afternoon but continues to be one of the Padres' best bats. He had a 12-game hit streak that came to an end Friday and has been showing increased power early on. His .503 slug percentage is fourth among all first basemen and is a significant personal improvement after averaging a .384 slugging over his last two seasons. For the year, Cronenworth is now slashing .285/.349/.503 with seven homers, 27 RBI, 20 runs and a 14:27 BB:K in 169 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:50 pm
  • Hits walk-off homer Sunday
Nimmo (ribs) did not start Sunday night's game against Atlanta, but entered the game late and subsequently hit a walk-off homer in his only at-bat.

Advice: During the broadcast, Nimmo was interviewed by the Sunday night ESPN crew and said that he expects to return Monday against the Phillies. To reinforce that point, Nimmo had two catches in left field in the eighth inning before his homer in the ninth. Unless he aggravated his injury in the process, Nimmo should be good to go for the upcoming week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:48 pm
  • Goes deep in win
Fry went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer, two runs scored and two walks in Sunday's win over the White Sox.

Advice: Fry belted a two-run shot in the fourth inning and later reached base twice more. The breakout utility man has gone 10-for-28 (.357) with four extra-base hits over his last 10 games. Through 27 games, Fry is slashing .309/.437/.515 with three home runs and 14 runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:47 pm

  • Swipes two bags
Suwinski went 1-for-3 with two walks and two stolen bases during Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Suwinski entered the contest with one stolen base on the season, but he swiped second base twice during the extra-inning loss. The left-hander has almost exclusively started against right-handed pitching, with 107 of his 129 plate appearances coming against opposite-handed throwers. However, Suwinski is slashing just .129/.234/.304 against righties this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:44 pm
  • Leaves yard Sunday
Tatis went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Tatis got the Padres on the board early with a first inning solo blast off Walker Buehler. That's now at least a hit in eight of his last nine games, during which he's hitting .342 with a pair of home runs, five RBI and six runs scored. Tatis continues to steadily produce, slashing .257/.335/.449 with eight homers, 22 RBI, 29 runs, six steals and a 17:41 BB:K in 188 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:40 pm
  • Delivers extra-inning HR
Joe went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored during Sunday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Joe spearheaded the Pirates' comeback effort, plating Oneil Cruz on a leadoff homer in the bottom of the 10th inning. However, his long ball wasn't enough, as Pittsburgh trailed by three entering the frame. Joe has gone yard in back-to-back games, bringing his season total up to five homers in 134 plate appearances. • Swats first homer of season
McCarthy went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Sunday's 9-2 win over the Orioles.

Advice: McCarthy went homerless in his first 92 plate appearances this season before tagging Dean Kremer for a two-run shot in the sixth frame. Despite the power woes, McCarthy owns a .366 on-base percentage and has swiped three bases. He's also struck out merely three times in his last 29 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:08 pm
