    Florial went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Tuesday's 10-9 extra-inning loss to the Astros.

    Advice: Florial's sixth-inning blast tied the game at 8-8. It was his third homer of the year and his first to come against a team other than the Yankees. Florial's playing time has been slipping recently, mostly as a product of David Fry working his way into the lineup more frequently. The right-handed Fry, a natural catcher, will occasionally serve as the designated hitter or push one of the Guardians' regulars into that spot at Florial's expense.     Donovan went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in an 11-6 loss to the Tigers in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader.

    Advice: Donovan sparked the Cardinals' fifth-inning rally with his homer. The utility man had hit safely in five straight games before going 0-for-4 in the matinee contest. Donovan is slashing .228/.311/.377 with three homers, 16 RBI, 13 runs scored and no stolen bases over 132 plate appearances this season.   • Johan Rojas delivers ninth-inning homer in victory
    Johan Rojas hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to lead the Phillies past the Angels 7-5 on Tuesday.

    Advice: Nick Castellanos had already tied the game with a solo shot before Rojas provided the difference maker. It was Rojas’s first homer in 91 plate appearances this season. Fortunately, he’s continued to play his usual excellent defense, and Whit Merrifield hasn’t been able to force his way into the lineup.     Luis Rengifo finished 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBI versus the Phillies in Tuesday’s loss.

    Advice: New Angels manager Ron Washington made it very clear early on that he wasn’t a Rengifo fan, but at this point, it’s hard to justify not batting him first. He was in the fifth spot tonight. but he has about 60 points of OBP on leadoff man Nolan Schanuel, and he’s definitely the more effective baserunner of those two.   • JJ Bleday homers twice in Oakland’s victory
    JJ Bleday delivered his second and third homers of the year Tuesday as the A’s topped the Pirates 5-2.

    Advice: Bleday’s best game of the season saw him launch balls 417 and 399 feet and improve his season line to .243/.304/.417. He’s not consistently hitting the ball hard enough to inspire a ton of faith, but he’s Oakland’s best center field option for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:38 pm

    Leading off for the second time this season, Lawrence Butler struck out all four times he was up Tuesday against the Pirates.

    Advice: Those was four of Oakland’s nine strikeouts on the night. Boasting excellent exit velocity numbers, Butler’s xStats are far better than his current .195/.305/.325 line. and he might be somewhat interesting on another team.     Advice: Rengifo gave the Angels a lead in the sixth inning, tagging reliever Yunior Marte for a three-run shot to plate Taylor Ward and Brandon Drury.     Advice: Castellanos kicked off a three-run ninth inning for Philadelphia, tagging Angels closer Carlos Estevez for a solo home run to knot the game up at five. After starting the season batting .153 with two runs scored in his first 20 games, Castellanos has started to turn the corner, scoring nine times with a .262 batting average since.
