    • Exits with apparent leg injury
Buxton was removed from Wednesday's game against the White Sox in the bottom of the second inning with an apparent leg injury, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Advice: After reaching on a base hit in his first plate appearance of the day in the top of the second inning, Buxton attempted a steal of second base but came up lame and walked off the field gingerly after being tagged out. The Twins should have more clarity on the nature of Buxton's injury later Wednesday. Rotowire.com 38 minutes ago

    • Byron Buxton exits game with apparent injury
Byron Buxton left Wednesday’s game with an injury after he attempted to steal second base.

Advice: Buxton went into second base standing up and appeared to favor his leg when he got caught stealing. He tapped his leg as he came off the field and a trainer met him at the foul line to check him out. We’ll have to wait on more information from the team to see if there’s anything significant. • Day off Wednesday
Garver is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: Garver looks to be getting a routine day off for the series finale. With Garver on the bench, Cal Raleigh will serve as Seattle's designated hitter, while Seby Zavala steps in as the Mariners' starting catcher. Rotowire.com Today, 9:44 am

    • Orioles place Grayson Rodriguez on 15-day IL
Orioles placed RHP Grayson Rodriguez on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to April 30, with right shoulder inflammation.

Advice: The move comes just two days after Rodriguez’s last start where he allowed zero runs in 5 2/3 innings against the Yankees on Monday. The 24-year-old has posted a 3.71 ERA, 1.41 WHIP with a 37/12 K/BB ratio in his six starts this season. The positive for the Orioles is that the team was able to activate John Means and Kyle Bradish should be back in the rotation soon as well. Rotoworld Today, 9:44 am

    • Hits IL with shoulder inflammation
The Orioles placed Rodriguez on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with right shoulder inflammation, Danielle Allentuck of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Advice: Rodriguez showed no signs of being hindered by an injury in his last start against the Yankees on Monday, striking out three over 5.2 scoreless innings. However, the right-hander's shoulder is evidently bothering him enough that he will miss a least the next two weeks of action. John Means (forearm) was activated from the 15-day IL in a corresponding move and will replaced Rodriguez on the 26-man active roster and in the rotation. Rotowire.com Today, 9:39 am

    • Set to start Wednesday's game
Montgomery is scheduled to start Wednesday's series finale against the Dodgers at Chase Field, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: Montgomery had been in line to take the hill Tuesday, but the Diamondbacks ended up scratching him from the start after he had gone through a full warmup while a bee swarm near the netting at home plate forced a two-hour delay before the game finally got underway. The Diamondbacks opted for an impromptu bullpen game in the eventual 4-3 extra-inning win, and Montgomery and Arizona's other rotation members will all get pushed back one day in the pitching schedule as a result. • Secures first win
Gray (1-1) earned the win Tuesday against Washington after allowing one earned run on three hits while striking out three batters across eight innings.

Advice: Gray gave up an RBI single to Luis Garcia in the first inning to put the Rangers behind early, but that would end up being the only blemish on his record. His three strikeouts weren't consistent with the rates fantasy managers have come to expect out of the 32-year-old righty, but he still managed to completely shut down the Nationals' bats nonetheless. Ever since being lit up for five runs in 3.2 innings during his season debut in March, Gray has posted a 1.24 ERA alongside a 33:8 K:BB across 29 innings. He'll look to extend his hot streak during his next start -- tentatively scheduled to come in Kansas City on Sunday. Rotowire.com Today, 2:00 am

    • Finally goes yard
Bregman went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run Tuesday against the Guardians.

Advice: Bregman has been off to a slow start this season but has improved of late, as he's collected six hits in his last 23 at-bats. He also slugged his first home run of the season Tuesday. While Bregman has only a .078 ISO in 113 plate appearances this season, he's striking out at just a 12.4 percent clip, meaning his .216 average should continue to rise. • Mason Miller strikes out side in earning save
Mason Miller struck out all three batters he faced Tuesday for a save against the Pirates.

Advice: It’s fine to marvel at Miller’s numbers in the closer’s role to date, but this is what an ace-level talent should be doing while pitching two or three innings per week. There’s a very good chance Miller would struggle to hold up as a starter, but we might never find out for sure. As is, Miller has a 1.35 ERA and eight saves in 13 1/3 innings.
