• Ways away from throwing
Manager Carlos Mendoza said Friday that Raley (elbow) is "not close" to throwing and will be seeing another doctor, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Raley hasn't received much good news since being placed on the 15-day IL on Apr. 21, initially being expected to return as soon as eligible before having his return date extended. Mendoza said May 2 that they'd be taking it slow with Raley, as it seems the inflammation in Raley's throwing elbow isn't healing as expected. With Raley set to see a specialist later this week, keep an eye out for an update on his status. Rotowire.com 9 minutes ago

  • Available Friday
Garcia (back) is available for Friday's game against the Twins, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: Garcia hasn't pitched in a game since April 28 but is ready to take the mound this weekend versus Minnesota. The right-hander has been dominant this season with a 0.68 ERA, 0.53 WHIP and 16:3 K:BB across 13.1 innings, and he should continue to serve as the setup man to closer Jordan Romano. • Throws bullpen
Green (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Friday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Friday's bullpen marks Green's first action off a mound since being placed on the injured list Apr. 20 and marks a significant step in his recovery from a right shoulder strain. At this pace, Green could be back in action later this month. Rotowire.com 15 minutes ago

  • Moved to 60-day IL
The Brewers transferred Bukauskas (triceps) to the 60-day injured list Friday.

Advice: The move frees up a spot on the 40-man roster. Bukauskas has been sidelined since mid-April with a right triceps strain and now won't be eligible to return until mid-June. Rotowire.com 20 minutes ago

  • Claimed by Cards
Ingram was claimed off waivers by St. Louis on Friday and will report to Triple-A Memphis, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Ingram will join his fourth team of the calendar year, making previous stops with the Tigers, Mets and Rangers before ending up with St. Louis. The southpaw hasn't pitched in an MLB game this season and has allowed four runs across seven innings at Triple-A. Rotowire.com 23 minutes ago
  • Goes on bereavement
The Brewers placed Payamps on the bereavement list Friday.

Advice: Payamps will be away for a minimum of three games and a maximum of seven games. Trevor Megill had already seemed to inch ahead of Payamps in the Brewers' bullpen hierarchy and now over the next few days should have a clearer path to saves. Rotowire.com 24 minutes ago

  • DFA'd following trade
Martin has been designated for assignment, the Brewers announced Friday.

Advice: Martin will hit waivers Friday, clearing up a spot on the 40-man roster for Mitch White, who the Brewers acquired via trade. If Martin clears waivers, he'd likely end up at Triple-A Nashville. Rotowire.com 35 minutes ago

  • Likely to return this weekend
Fairbanks (arm) is back from Triple-A Durham and will likely be activated this weekend, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Fairbanks had his second rehab appearance in Durham on Thursday which likely went well, as the Rays closer is set to return as soon as the weekend. The 30-year-old righty has only appeared in eight games so far this season with 10:8 K:BB through seven innings pitched, but he was Tampa Bay's go-to closer in the 2023 season where he finished out with a 2.58 ERA and 68 strikeouts across 24.0 IP. • Dealt to Brewers
White was acquired by Milwaukee on Friday in exchange for cash considerations.

Advice: White has been traded twice in the past 20 days, first moving to San Francisco from the Blue Jays before heading to Milwaukee on Friday. He's pitched 15.1 big-league innings in 2024, owning a 7.63 ERA and a 7:9 K:BB ratio. Although White hasn't shown much to be excited about since posting a 3.66 ERA over 46.2 innings in 2021, the Brewers have a strong track record developing pitchers and Milwaukee is dealing with plenty of injured arms at the moment.
